Re: ROMANIA 2018
Feli wrote a response and I will translate it for you. Prepare for it, it's long. But it shows her lovely heart.
"Hello! Thank you so much for your support.
I feel the need to write my thoughts about Bună de iubit to understand my point of view.
1. I'M NOT a competitive person! I don't consider that I need a trophy to demonstrate myself how good I am. And I don't mean just eurovision, but in general.
Good. About eurovision I see you have different points of views and I respect this very much because everyone has a right to have an opinion in this world.
My ideea is that I want this message to reach many other places because it's a message of support and encouragement of women, who don't know anymore how much they deserve to be loved. All this idea transformed into music on a cheerful instrumental with happy lyrics meant to bring back to some women what they lost. Their confidence, and how tragic it must sound, their smile.
This is my final goal that I obtain through singing the song. I've decided to go with the English version because it's an universal language and the message could be better understood. I feel this way and because my heart is the leader in taking my decisions, the version I'm going to compete in the NF is the English one.
2. My studio voice doesn't have effects on it because I don't like "the robot voice effect". I consider myself an artist gifted by God with this voice and I don't need these effects,... Because I don't need them (she was accused of using too much autotune "
3. I ask you from the bottom of my heart to enjoy this journey along with me without wanting something else to" scratch"our ego! For me, personally, the trophy doesn't matter but the chance that through Eurovision to take further the message of Bună de iubit.
I don't of myself as a Saint who is meant to change the world because I am not. But I think that it's my duty, because I wrote this song, to put it in my first album, to send it to eurovision and to take the message as further as I can.
I don't paint myself as a fairy from a story. I've said it many times before, music is a medicine. We must feel it, enjoy it, and let it heal our soul.
Let's become a group of people meant to feel the music, support it, and let it grow (in Romanian sounds poetic this part with the growing)
The real win is that goosebumps and what music and lyrics make you feel.
I end my never-ending message giving you a hug! I thank you for being who you are! (and a heart)"
