We need to respect other people's taste, he will certainly appreciate other songs of this year, which is quite diverse imo, so there is no need to be mad ;)

You are so right! Btw, take my :12: Portugal! xheart

I totally get that. It wasn't my intention to be hurtful. He had the freedom of expression to say how much he despises our FdC and i simply replied in a similar way. But ofc, everyone is entirely intitled of having his/her opinion. That's the beauty of a forum.

It’s nice, but doesn’t grab my heart the same way Salvador did. I would also prefer it if only Claudia was singing - I don’t really like the girl with the black hair. Either way, I’m sure Portugal will do decently again this year.

So I just came back from Guimarães!
My gosh, what an amazing experience! It was a truly wonderful show. From a technical point of view it was really great, the stage was amazing, the arena was set up in a great way, the graphics were amazing as well. RTP really doing a strong rehearsal for Eurovision in May here.

All of the songs sounded great live, much better than watching on the TV. My favourite was always Cláudia and I was very very happy when it won! A ballad very different from what we usually see in Eurovision with a beautiful eletronic vibe and touching lyrics. Cláudia is a sweetheart as well! I'm glad we selected something different from last year that is still high quality and that can still stir emotions on people's hearts. Hopefully this will keep growing FdC's standard and will make the show improve even more next year. I think we can achieve at least a top 10 this year!

Catarina's performance tonight was truly amazing as well. I didn't care for the song before tonight but watching it live really changed my mind, such a beautiful melody and such a beautiful voice! And once again Catarina is cute as hell! A truly well-deserved runner-up.

The show was really great, the 14 performances moved very swiftly and the interval acts were actually surprisingly pretty good. The production value of the show was 100x better than the semi-finals. They really need to spice the semi-finals script up next year.
The 2 hosts were really great as well, a million light-years above the semi-final ones. I'm sure Filomena will do a fantastic job in May.

This opened my appetite for watching Eurovision so so much! I can't believe we still have to wait 2 months (though these 2 months will probably fly by incredibly fast)

I totally don‘t get the hype around this. I‘m curious to see if the taste of the majority of the audience in may has made the same radical turn (which I doubt) as the poll here suggests. In former years this song would not have been quite successful.

3-2-1: and we all hear the uproar: Salvador!

Yes, but his song was quite a different one.

Achingly beautiful but very different to Amar pelos dois. In such an open year dare I say it that this could do the double??

Shut up and take my 12 Portugal xheat

6 points, I'm not a big fan, but she's a great performer. Place in the top 15 for sure I think.

I believe Claudia's song to be extremely boring, but I can't say that I'm disappointed as such, as all of the Portuguese songs this year were equally bad :s

Sweet entry. I love how it builds, and Cláudia has a nice voice :)
So well done, Portugal. You can be proud of your host entry.

I think you are right, I was actually “despising” your entry and NF.
But at least I never stereotyped anyone’s taste in this forum.
Just because I hate those slow songs that I have to hear 100 times to remember the melody, doesn’t mean I like lady power ballads and EDM.
I think Ha dias assim, O jardim and Amar pelos dois sound more similiar to each other and sound more generic than EDM songs do.
And I don’t understand why some national finals go 30 years behind the recent trend. There should be more diversity. Of course they might want to go traditional now and then but if all the show is a pillowfest, that’s boring for me. In other counries, even if there are a lot of schlager and EDM, they also have this kind of slow music too, to add diversity.
Well anyway, I give chance to all genres of music. I actually wish Portugal was represented by Fado once again.

A quality entry. Doesn't quite grab me emotionally yet. I really need to hear the studio version. Wish it kept upping the musicality at the end instead of dropping off. However, best host entry in some time. It's not going to win or anything, but should get a respectable mid-table result.

8 points for now. After Saturday being a disaster for me, thanks to Portugal and Belgium for getting things back on track!

I don't feel anything. It's just boring. Actually it won't surprise me if it fails like Austrian guys did after Conchita won.
