TVP sucks big time, if they don't want to participate then some other station should become an EBU member. But of course no one in this country cares about Eurovision in the first place...

Yes, it's apparent now (and already were when TVP entered) that some other broadcaster should be responsible for Poland in ESC. What broadcasters are members of EBU? Can we write to them? OGAE Poland?

I mean TVP proved they're totally uninterested, so wouldn't this mean they can just pass it on to another broadcaster? What does the EBU say?

Assuming Slovakia will be in, they HAVE to win next year. Maybe that'll give Poland & Czech Republic the motivation to return.

If Slovakia wins I'm almost 100% certain Poland and Czech Republic would be back, atleast Czech would and probably 80% certain Poland would aswell.

Chances of getting them back (or atleast Poland) could also be if Hungary, Lithuania or maybe even Germany would win again. As for Czech Republic, if Austria would win I could see them return aswell.

TVP is the only Polish broadcaster that is in EBU. And they might be interested in other things than ESC, so I doubt they'll leave or pass on their membership to anyone.

Just to clarify some things - TVP is not alone in boycotting ESC, most people here don't know/care about ESC at all. And if you say out loud that you like ESC you'll just be laughed at. So I bet most people will view TVP's decision as something that should have been done. Sad, but true.

I meant passing on the ESC responsibilities, here in Sweden for instance both state-run SVT and private TV4 are members of EBU (maybe even more channels) and when SVT dropped out of jESC, then TV4 stepped in. So it's not as if they would pass on the whole EBU membership, just the part regarding ESC.

No, for instance TV4 here is not a public broadcaster (it's private owned), but they're part of EBU nevertheless.
