I have done countless of hostings on this platform and I know how it works.
The claim that no one was/or were going to be contacted in case of, say, their vote not being correct, is completely wrong. We did not ignore such situations. An example would be Afnia this edition, in the semi finals. They had been responded to when they mistakenly voted for the same country twice and been advised to fix their votes. We did not turn a blind eye to such issues.
The like-as-response principle had been implement to ease our inboxes in routine situations(such as counting votes/accepting confirmations), so that we would not fill our inboxes with endless routine messages of "Confirmed", and instead automotize them with likes as a signal of one's enquiry being succeeded, evading inbox capacity restraints that frustrate everyone. This was discussed and adopted within the host team as we needed to keep our communication going, even when one of us would be away, the other would have access to the said votes, entries, inquiries etc. It was not meant as "no communication from the hosts, or that we will ignore you", as seen in situations where a response was needed, it was provided.
And one last thing, the said font in the confirmations thread was used as an homage to Perryfornia's runner up from the last edition, (as the title of the song is written in this manner) that made this hosting possible. It was not random, or an attempt at trolling. Once people have shown a distaste to it, we've discontinued it immediately in the following shows. Similarly, we also stopped imposing you to send your votes to all 3 of us in the final, since it was not liked. We have continuously been listening to you and improving our hosting to cater to your needs. On top of that, we have never called you names, told you to -F yourselves or leave the platform. Everyone was responded to, in the same manner that they wrote to us.
Zombira got the said response as a result of their sassy comment. As can be seen in the respective semi thread. The deadline was never canceled. The controversy regarding their votes came up due to them failing to send their votes to all hosts (especially Luke, given he was doing the counting during my absence). No one was going to cancel their votes, as they had voted within the deadline. They just needed to be redirected for the results show to be held as quickly as possible.

I thank Kordavian Islands so much for their support and being open for dialogue, as well as being neutral. No wonder they are a teacher. I applaud you.
