Can anyone figure why this is so high in the public rankings? Totally unremarkable IMO, it's not even talked about.... it's just really high in them for some reason, same with Albania.

Just a guess, cause i dont do those, but the same reason it would get respectable jury points? You choose a couple of songs you really love or want to do well and put them on top, max 5 songs. Then you push aside the ones you really hate. Then you're left with a bunch of mid songs for you and you pick this as one of the ones to give points. Because it's very well made, inoffencive and pleasant to listen to.
And Albania is there for variety, it has basically zero competition when it comes to ethnic vibe.

It's practically the NF performance with a few other shots sprinkled in there. Lost opportunity to do some more storytelling, why else make a MV ...

Just my two cents, but Albania has the best song this year! It is unique and stands out. While some others go into the same direction musically-wise.

Are there any changes in the arrangement? ESCkompakt wrote that we will be hearing a revamp when the music video dropped but dunno, I can't hear any differences to the MGP version?

Personally, I think it was nice to get some visuals whilst not having to listen to the "stage sound effects/pyro" but overall, it was rather a boring music video - with less dancing, less dancers, no story telling and worse outfits.

The forest was nice, though.

Yeah, Norway has overtaken Denmark in the odds since the NF's, now by quite some margin. I guess it has to do with the difference between the two semis. Denmark has - once again - been placed in the strongest semi.

The only significant change regarding the two entries since the NF's (when Denmark was several spots ahead of Norway) has been the news that Denmark will change the stanging. So there shouldn't be any other "objective" reasons for this change.

I can see why Lighter won NMGP. It was one of the better songs there but such was the lack of strength in that selection this is still outside my top 2 currently.

We'll see how good Kyle will sound without auto-tune. I think he'll be just ok but not terrible. A touching message about his mother but overall a little bit too generic sounding for my liking.

This boy has got great stage presence! At least judging by the nordic preparty (maybe cause it was in Norway and the audience gave back more to him, but still), I can see this being Silia Kapsis of this year.

Knowing NRK, they will give him a decent package in Basel but it won’t be nearly enough for this to convince me over

I mean if we don’t qualify this year then I wouldn’t be sad. I struggle to see who on earth would pick up their phone and actually vote for this, you know??

Another childish song. It doesn’t feel current, and even though the guy is cute and really doing his best, there’s nothing memorable or catchy enough to stick.

I don’t think this will do very well, but at least he seems to be having fun — and that’s what matters.
