It's not what I asked for; sometimes life just slips in through the back door in the form of this amazing performance of my WV artist-emeritus and--spoiler alert--our next artist of my WV-winning entry!
WorldVision 196 - Cheetah Girls ft. Deepti Daryanani - Dance Me If You Can
This is a song from my youth--I was recently reminded of it by a snarky YouTuber who threw some shade at it, which 1) pissed me off 2) reminded me that it existed 3) spurred me on to share it with the WorldVision audience. Enjoy!
This NF will be devoted to the many projects of singer songwriter Mimi Goese. I love her and hope y'all will too.
Song 1: Hugo Largo - Blue Blanket
Song 2: Moby - When It's Cold I'd Like To Die
Song 3: Mimi Goese & Ben Neill - World's End
Song 4: Mimi Goese - The World Is Just A Little Place
Q: "Calvin, I've never done one of your NFs or it's been long enough that I've forgotten what stupid and too cute by half voting system you use. What is it?"
A: Distribute exactly 15 points (no more, no less) between the four songs as you see fit. You may give zeroes and repeat values, but you may not give more than 10 points to any one song.
Q: "For example, what if I want to be the most scandal in favor of one song over the other three?"
A: Probably 10-2-2-1.
Q: "What if I feel the same about all four of the songs?"
A: Probably 4-4-4-3.
Q: "What if I want to be the most scandal in favor of two songs over the other two?"
A: Probably 8-7-0-0 or 7-7-1-0, but I can't tell you everything.
Q: "What i--"
A: NO MORE HYPOTHETICALS JUST VOTE
Q: "By when?"
A: After the final results show, so you'll have a while. I do reserve the right to not yet set a formal deadline.
EDIT: Q: “What happens if there’s a tie?”
A: I will use an old trick I learned in college called the Condorcet method, where I choose whichever song would win a head to head majority rule battle against the other. If that offers me no help, I will use the old “random.org to get a randomly derived result, see if it feels right, use it if it does, overrule it if it doesn’t.”
Q: "Okay, but which other super cool kids to whom you're very grateful have already voted?"
