If the EBU actually approve that then they really are suckers, they might as well have just let her sing Kant...
Yeah the whole act gives me vibes of a certain kind of reality-trash-TVEven without the C word this entry is just irritating. Instead of changing the lyrics they should change the whole song.
It just blows a massive hole in the argument that she was just trying to say “singing” if they replace the word Kant with Conte…Why? How? Every word is totally fine and suitable for ESC and doesn't harm any rules.
The Maltese delegation has to get rid of the word "Kant".
They will mute it and place a sound instead.
Problem solved.
It's a common way to censor slur words/insults in radio versions.
It can be worse, e.g. Britney singing "nis" instead of "sin" in "3" back in 2009 or "It's will.iam. and Britney, Britney" (instead of Britney pitch in Scream&Shout).
Also Pussycat Dolls song 'Beep'. The listener was left to use their imagination when the beep sound was used. Why? How? Every word is totally fine and suitable for ESC and doesn't harm any rules.
