Catching up now,

"Kant" was horribly tacky and trashy. Some parts of the song make me wanna dance/vibe but the pre-chorus is too dated and cheap for my liking and I was hoping for the exercise balls to be left in the gym again.
3/10

"Juno" was surprisingly captivating? Someone said that they would be tired of all the goddesses references this year and I partly agree. It was off-putting at first but the artist won me over. Great vocals and its catchy.
7/10

"Għażliet" would be my favourite Maltese entry since 2021 probably but the vocalist sounds quite flat at parts. I absolutely adore the arrangement, though and Zeppi gets an extra point.
6/10

JVF
No festa to the sound of lalallala fo rme. Worst song I've heard this week since "Laika Party".
0/10

"Rubble & Stone"
Cute. I would bop to this in May. The chorus is uplifting - the verses are a bit mediocre, though. Overall, they look alright on stage.
6/10

"Unheard" sound dated and annoying. I hate the clapping sound in the middle 8.
1/10

"Silenced" was well sung. I like her clear voice (especially following Krista) but that song is clungy and the camp climax isn't lifting it to another level - it's simply unlistenable when she belts.
2/10

Kantera was my #1 before the NF and it could work in May (like making Malta qualify). It sounds very formulaic but the flute guy and the woman singing ar ea great team accompanied by the "drunk on a pirate ship/at a tavern" atmosphere is entertaining.
7/10 (8 maybe?)

"Concrete" would be alright if there was another singer/a better vocalist. He's massacring the high notes.
3/10

Justine's song isn't my cup of tea at all. I dislike the tone of her voice. but I like the backing track.
1/10

I haven't got the Adria Twins before and the performance didn't make me change my mind. Kudos to them for singing in Maltese.
3/10

"Yo Listen"'s dancers were fierce and Martina sounds great. I like the song - it's groovy and catchy but I think this would turn out to be a Malta-finishing-last-like-2023 scenario,
6/10

Mark's got a lovely tone. He should ditch the high notes and revamp his entry a bit - it's cute at parts
3/10

Kurt is a great performer and it shows. Star energy, great choreography and the song's chorus is alright but it could have been so much bigger/better - the last part of the song is horrible - including the unnecessary key change.
3/10

I know "Heavenly Sent" is a huge favourite here (and in other ESC groups) and I like the chorus somehow - it is freaking catchy but oh boy - that's ESC 2004 - Could Malta qualify with such a dated pop-opera crossover with a Eurovision-esque and hardcore camp chorus? It sounds very trashy and cheap to my ears but it's not terribly bad :D
4/10

Stefan got a great performance - now I know where the "Eurofans on a Super Saturday" meme does come from.
The song gives me a headache, though. But I love the chorus accompanied by the performance - it hits harder than Belgium for me haha
I couldn't stop laughing at Stefan for singing "Let's Go" at the end just to slowly take a walk around the stage during the "dance break"
4/10

All in all, good luck :mt: you will need it.

Great stage, though.

Victoria, Kristy, Kurt, JVF, Adria Twins, Martina... I'm accepting any of those... and only those names, Malta...

If you're smart, it's Heaven Sent that wins. It's the entry with the easiest journey into the final. You just need to give Kristy some kind of staging. Song, voice and charisma are already there and very strong

The deathslot I think sadly has killed off Juno's chances as the dark horse. That's my fave in the selection but it wouldn't be as easy to sell at Eurovision as Heaven Sent.

Any chance "Għażliet" could win? - A little revamp, a vocal coach and it could actually be quite charming/lovely on stage in May?

"Heavenly Sent" would please the hardcore fans but I can't see it qualify, tbh. "Kantera" is probably Malta's way to go to make it to the GF but it's very formulaic... "Għażliet", however, feels sincere and authentic to me - there's room for improvement, imo - I would prefer an organic, authentic and genuine song.

"Kantera" sounds like it was tailored for Eurovision's semi finals to survive the televoting and "Heavenly Sent" sounds like it was tailored for ESC 2004 but somehow got forgotten 20 years until someone decided to dust their shelves a few months ago....

I don't really have any stand out favorite here but I would be OK with Kristy, Miriana, Kantera, Victoria, Dario Bezzina, JVF and Martina :)
