This one felt a little more justified to me; she wasn't really excellent at either of her performances, and as a borderline qualifier in a close semi, she needed to be. I'm saving my pissed off-ness for the Czech Republic.

Malta's performance in the jury last night was dreadful and sealed it's fate. It's quite clear who is the dominant Warrior.

Yeah, Aminataxheat

Yeah, Aminataxheat

Don't get me wrong, Latvia is pretty spectacular, but Nina is close to becoming my favourite of the year. Stunning song and performance. If she gets a good slot, it can top 5. Malta...well...

Georgia is amazing. I've been won around. Remember when you said to me that i'd like it eventually and I was adamant that I wouldn't... well, you were right, I was wrong. I don't entirely love it though. I just think it's an incredibly impressive performance, and everything just works well. I don't like Nina still though. Something about her irks me.

As a composition I think Latvia slays Georgia and Aminata sells her song just as well, and the staging is equally as breathtaking. I hope they both can reach the top 10. I still think Latvia is on course for a top 5.

What made it even worse was Nina's honest but sort of arrogant remark about Amber's performance when she was being interviewed by Mel and the face she pulled. She's a bit cocky. I want to like Nina but i'm finding it quite difficult. She's won the "Warrior" battle though, but not the "Warrior" battle of our heartsxlove

What and where did Nina said?

Poor Amber... I was never among the biggest fans of this song and after seeing the rehearsals, I was sure she won´t qualify. Then a strange thing happened. On TV, the whole act actually looked much better than I imagined (staging-wise) and Amber was pretty OK too. I actually sent two votes for her, symbolically one for RainyWoods and one for AshleyWright and I liked her performance much more than Poland, Cyprus or Lithuania. But it was really strong SF, sadly.

She basically said it wasn't very good and was just all fire.

edit: Thank you for those votes for her. I spammed her 10 votes in the end...

Aww thanks so much. There are a lot of Czech's I like, but you're up there right at the top nowxlovexrose I thought of you as I was voting for Czech Republic too.

I agree, it did all come together well on tv. Much better than I even imagined in fact. I know it wasn't the best song of the year but I liked it from the beginning and it kept me interested in this years contest when I was losing hope. It's just a big, typical, over the top Eurovision song, filled with passion and meaning. It was a very strong Semi but I still believe she easily deserved it.

Nina was basically asked about her opinion on having another "Warrior" in the competition, and it was worded poorly by the interviewer, implying that Nina's song came first when it was actually Amber's song that debuted way before in November (or whenever it was). Nina said that she liked the song (unsure if I believe her there or not) but that the performance was disappointing. Made a remark about the fire background, and I don't know.. her mannerisms just seemed a bit off. She was being honest I suppose but it just wasn't really that nice. Seemed a bit cocky and sure of herself. I wanted the two girls to fight it out in the final together at least. Nina got an easy ride in the first weaker semi and her amazing slot.

"Overwhelmed with all the positive comments I have recieved. Thank you all for your support. Even though I'm not in the final I am very HAPPY with my performance and hope I made all of malta proud. It is now time to be a Warrior myself...never look back the past is the past, conquer all obstacles and face new challenges and opportunities. Simply proud of my team and all of your support. Xx
Love you all"

Amber's message on Facebook xheart

Some people on facebook though, seems like they are bringing the big guns and attacking everything Eurovision... stating we should withdraw... blah blah blah...
I admire Denmark who already confirmed 2016 participation. No doubt the people complaining are the ones who will be hyped in our next NF.

Everything in this song screamed non-qualifier, maybe with the old version or in semi 1 she might have had a chance. It wasn't horrible, but semi 2 was just way too strong for this mediocre power ballad. Best of luck next year :mt:!!

I hope they haven't all turned on Amber and are attacking her for Malta's failure. She did an amazing job.

No they aren't. They are just blaming Europe and their lack of appreciation of our talent + the waste of money. Same old crap.

I'm blaming Europe for quite a lot of what happened last night...

I'll never understand why such a strong entry with good performance didn't qualify while Poland or Luthuania did.

tbh, I think the right songs qualified.
Well I'd exchange Poland with Malta but maybe sympathy votes pushed Poland forward.
And I'd swap Albania with Denmark in semi 1, so all in all, Europe did a good job - let's hope they select a decent winner tomorrow though
