Right here's my overview eventhough we only know like 7/9 songs of this semi in full; those who participated in tapings definitely know them better than I do.

1. LIT - You’re Not Alone
Gabrielė Rybko returns, I thought she earned a lifetime ban from the Eurovision NF after the last time scandal (for those uncultured: her dad offered the goods of his company in exchange of televotes for his daughter at the NF in 2019 where she participated with "Lay It Down" (fun fact: it was the one time we got a Laurell Barker song handed to us in a NF). She did not uncondone it, therefore she was stripped of all incoming televote, but was allowed to walk out of the semi with the 3 jury points that she got).
Her song is not out on anywhere right now, but a TikTok recap of this semi has surfaced and this is how I know just a tiny bit of her song, and I can say: this is generic upbeat pop. Miss girl has fallen off so hard that she's now too scared to promote the song likely, AND it's not as good as she had it 6 years ago with "Lay It Down". It might get better with the remaining runtime, but for now, not likely to make an impact.

2. Mantas Ben - Svajonės po 12
Okay it's not too bad, but it's a little too mellow... the intro is too long, and the last minute is just him repeating the chorus over and over and over... And people on ESCDiscord were trying to sell me the idea of this qualifying to the final of the NF xlisa nonetheless, I guess it's pleasant singer-songwriter instrumentation, kinda makes me think back to "Klaidos" by Giedrius Nakas, but it's not as jazzy-ish/Sunday dinner music as "Svajonės po 12". We kinda have to do better than qualifying that to the final that will happen on the biggest arena of the country, lol.

3. Rūta Budreckaitė - Tai kur namai
It's got quite the mystique and low budget suspenseful horror movie soundtrack vibe nailed down... it tries to be so good at it but it kind of doesn't go enough ham with it, you know? It doesn't sound so bad or anything, it has those impact sound effects like in the Inception movie for the first half, the second verse in chorus is kind of inspired by Billie Eilish with non lo-fi-esque production, buuuut lyrically it's kinda repetitive? She asks "then where is home" way, way too many times... and then after the second chorus there's an instrumental part - isn't there anything meant to happen to engage a listener through audio? And at the end there's more singing with as little of instrumentation as possible. I totally get why juries were not fond of it (this is a spoiler from those who watched the tapings as they went along - juries weren't fond of almost anybody in this semi except maybe this next song). If by a miracle this one goes through, it does need to get a bit of revamping because we're allowed to have that shit (remember, "Not Your Mother" from 2022 also had a "final" version by the time it got to the final) - add more drama, add more oomph, add more convincing confusion of someone who's too lost to find home. Right now I don't think there's a smooth sailing coming for this.

4. Anyanya - Running Out of Time
Another one with just snippets littered across the socials; so far it sounds like a decent soul number with a worthy vocalist who's going to sell it live on tape. If y'all dig soul pop and somewhat tolerate Sam Smith's earlier years, this'll be for you. It's not too bad from what it presents, and Anyanya did win The Voice Lithuania so this will go great for him. So great that in fact it's the clearest finalist of this dull, dull semi (spoiler alert!!), albeit not by like a galaxy-size gap, like "Luktelk" would've been lightyears above everyone else in this semi if it competed this year. This is just the strongest of the okays and tragedies. I do fear that the LRT watching boomers will not appreciate it as well because of racism come final (because it's qualifying with ease, and don't you forget), but it won't do horribly once it's there, a comfortable midtable position with 7 from the jury, when 12 from them in the semi.

5. Aistay - Meilę sapnavau
It maaaay be a better Aistay entry out of the 3 we've already heard, but it's still very averagely underwhelming/underwhelmingly average. It also has this weak ass chorus that does NOTHING to improve upon itself when it comes on after verse 2, and verse 2 does have some sort of a stronger build but again it's the chorus that completely undermines it. Crank up the Disneyism or whatever. Also the ending is very underwhelming as well. Overall less of a non-event than her previous entry but not much of an event to make up for the previous non-events. Back to the drawing board we go with this one.

6. Ewa - Tell Me Lie
We're in disaster bop territory with this one, although it doesn't sound as disastrous as "Poison Cake" from Dora, but everything about this is a disaster in one way or another. The track is underbaked, screams chill tropical bop song demo Youtube tutorial beat. The singer is a strong soldier in the idgaf war on basis of her vocal performance. Her attitude screams "spoiled rich princess backed up by sugar daddy despite not being able to sing" (seriously, she auditioned on The Voice Lithuania, didn't get any chairs turned, and her audition is straight up full of comments of people bashing her lack of singing abilityxheart And that's ALL after she established a career for herself uploading music on Youtube and Spotify!!). The glaring lack of article in her song title 😭😭😭 Makes me think of when they wheeled out the giant "A" prop from FiK 63 stage after "Amane". I know this is a fucking flop to a T - the performance certifies it 100% (and Ewa claims to have spent over 3k euro for it and it didn't include budget for the backing dancers' outfits being different xheart) - but man will I be a great liar if I don't say this is A+ tier shitty guilty pleasure material. hred Ewa claims to have lots of fans out there, and they better get their rusty old SIMcards ready to the max, because that's the only way I can see this qualifying, if ever - this is certified jury hate material and televote "idk her" material, solidifying a last place of semi for her. Go girl give us nothing!
(If people are positive to her online, beware - they might be telling her lie.)

7. Viktorija Faith - Scary Beautiful
After literally sending the same song for two years in a row, miss girl spices it up by singing a song in a different key and attempting to serve some sort of "higher" vocals. That's just as good as it gets for Viktorija Faith entry catalogue. Besides that, it's still your usual serving of pleasant-ish boredom that will ultimately go nowhere. It doesn't perform anything exciting, it's just there to be song of all time. Back to the drawing board we go with this one.

8. Justė Baradulinaitė - Tired
Nice little campfire tune, not anthemic enough to suddenly catch wind like "Snap" (although how much of that success story was largely in part due to Tamar's American/marketing specialty aura?), but not abhorrent either. Maybe with a bit of country twang and Monika Marija's vocals this could stand a legitimate chance to be taken to the final. But I guess I'd likely expect to see this be the second qualifier the most - sure, Gebrasy co-penning this is not 100% mark of quality, afterall, before 2021 he was rarely making it to the finals of the NF too; but it's a nice lil' song out there. Worth to pass.

9. Euften - Goodbye Hell
Here goes something more disastrous than "Tell Me Lie" in terms of production - shitty metal xheart After hearing this I thought that maybe Rafael Artesero needs to retire. Because what the fuck is he getting himself into these days... noisy walls of guitars, cringy attempts at dramatic sound with the violin, the very poor drum track, the clunky diction for all those fancier/non-basic English words... this is just a very shitty rock song written by someone who read too many fantasy books with dragons and shit - Hansanova what are you doing here?? I somehow don't see this last in semi, I'll be proven wrong if "Tell Me Lie" somehow rises above all that by the help of the SIMcards, but I definitely don't expect the jury to take it seriously given to how they went from accepting Twosome in 2018 to slowly reject things like their subsequent attempts and the cringey/nerdshit-esque entries like "Nėra abejonių" and "Up"; and also very cliche basic metal like "Game Over", all mashed into one. And for televote this will be too terrible to be voted for. I don't hate it inherently, but if the singer claims to be leaving Hell for Heaven, good. More fire and brimstone for me for having to go through this fucking semi.

Bring on the next four weeks please, immediately as you can.

Those prolapse costumes on her dancers were a little bit too gay friendly
As if it wasn't uncomfortable already, the song was too repetitive

Lol, that was not the most impressive beginning. She looks good, but the song is not good enough for broadcast.

What's Lithuanian about this? I could see it winning the San Marino retail experience though for sure
