Got a feeling this is one of the sure non-qualifiers. I played this for my brother who actually listens to this kind of music, and he loathed it. If it doesn't even appeal to its obvious target audience, who will vote for it?

There's nothing sure in the second semifinal, there's only like three countries i'd safely put through in there. And Lithuania has allies. It's a really good song, I like how it grows, but the risk lies in how very depressing it sounds.

Even if I appreciate the fact that they use the Lithuanian language, this song is almost annoying for me.

Ok, I don't want to appear hateful or anything but I have to ask - what do people here see in this song? I have quite a few friends with whom I watch eurovision every year. We all have very different musical tastes. However, in this case we're all united in the opinion that to us this is one of the worst entries this year. And it's coming from a huge rock fan (me). Tavo Akys sounds like a very mediocre rock song. I've heard thousands of pieces that sound pretty much exactly like this. It has a very boring musical line, mediocre vocals and is genuinely quite difficult to listen to. So - and I really do not ask it in a negative way - can one of the people here who loves this song explain to me what exactly it is that they like about it? I genuinely ask out of simple curiosity.

Massive fan of the song here!
I'm an indie rock lover (i think this helps to be used to and appreciate unsual song structures) and I love pretty much everything about it from 1st listening.

I love the song, his voice, his attitude, the overall dark moodiness and building despair. I love that it's in Lithuanian, i love the way it sounds. So yeah, love it all xD

I know it's not a favorite and the subgenre unfortunately prevents it from being one. But they'll surely have their hardcore fans.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the insightful answer. I must admit, that it just seems like I am not a fan of the genre in general, but now I see why it can appear to others. Thanks (y)
