I think this is legit the best NF of the year. I'm struggling to find even one song in most of the others I give half a damn about, but with Lithuania there's been so many songs so far that have caught my attention. A bunch of peculiar songs with really great production and staging. I just finished listening to all of them from the third week and three advanced that I especially like.

One of the strangest songs i've heard in an NF for a long time. It takes the rules and throws them out of the window. Best part is absolutely that bit towards the end where they threaten to go for an electronic freakout Young Georgian Lolitaz style and then SURPRISE it ain't happening cause it's suddenly completely changed it's melody and is serving the most poptacular finale you never saw coming. The staging is awesome too. The whole thing is perfect. Please send this to Eurovision and win the Barbara Dex award along with my heart.
Gabrielius Vagelis - The Distant This is one of those weird "should I really be liking this?" songs that comes along now and then. I'm afraid I can't quite resist it, try as I may. The pink suit with black turtle neck jumper and Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil hair only make it harder to ignore. I like how he sings the chorus. It's almost as though he's tumbling down a hill. Incredibly warbly diva vocals, and it's a bit raw but I like the overall weird package of this one. Even if the song itself is kind of standard, I think Gabrielius is making me like it.
Vidas Bareikis - Pusvalanduko This is the most Lithuanian thing I think i've ever seen. The performance is absolutely wondrous. If i'm honest, I wish the song itself was just a smidgen better. It has however managed to grow on me from when I first heard it a while back. The whole thing is super dooper fun and zany in the most charming way. It would be delightful to experience at Eurovision.

"Melody" is also bless. It sounds like it stepped out of a time machine but got a bit warped on it's journey to us. It's very surreal how it exists today and it even won the public vote. Super bizarre..... I think I like it? Unsure.
