Huge :12: and my BIG no2 this year!! xheart
This is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND AMAZING! 🥹 Melancholy and nostalgy that builds up to the hope and "better days" is supported musically here on the highest level.. Well done... And this trilingual stuff works so well... I'm stunned...and this video is mesmerizing...
This poll here doesnt show Reality, I cant believe ppl give :0: to this.. It is a huge shame to do so!!!
Goooooo Yuval Raphael! ✊Show them all!
Everyone cries, don't cry alone.. 🥹💔✊

I was almost gonna refrain from commenting on this at all, for ethical reasons. But i might as well say it - it's a good thing that it's not a good song, because then if they try the same thing they did last year, nobody can seriously claim the results were because of the song. I don't see any enthusiasm from Muslim-haters and psychopathic genocide supporters for this like last year, and i think that's a good sign. They realized it didn't work (to improve Israel's image in any way) and hopefully they'll stay out of the contest entirely this year. It might still make the final, might get a left side result, but it will be forgotten by everyone else. That's all i have to say.

GOOSH I adore this entry!

If Dami Im won jury in 2016, i can totally see this winning jury in Basel as well...
But there are many other good options as well, this year!

This entry reminds me of :ua: 2017 Evrovidenie entry "I love you" sung by Tayanna! xlove xheart

You are the rainbow in my sky
My colors in the grey
My only wish upon a star
Sunshine in the day
The only song that my piano ever plays...💔xcry

Her voice is natural - not constructed and forced, as so many vocals are nowadays, also at Eurovision. This is the strength of the song, but melodically it's not the most impressive ballad I've ever heard. The part in French - I wondered if she or the song has any specific connection to France, but it doesn't seem like it, so that annoys me a bit (three languages in one song is too much if it isn't motivated by something particular). I'll give Israel a 5 for now. Hurricane was a slightly better song, I think.

She used to live in Geneva.

She has serious pipes/good vocals, the song is more pleasing to my ears than Hurricane (where the botched censored lyrics bothered me a ton) and it seriously sticks out in a year with extremely few ballads or slower songs. I give this an 8 for now and hope for a glow-up on the Eurovision stage.

I preferred hurricane for instrumentals vocals and melody, I have trouble connecting to yuval on an emotional level here and in the performances I've seen her do. She left me cold until perhaps the last minute of her dancing queen cover where i finally connected (ordinarily i wouldnt give a performance that long). I do like the Hebrew and whilst I preferred eden's voice her vocals are lovely and I hope israel have got a strong support group for her in basel.

Now I remember which song it does remind me ... Ne me quitte pas of Jacques Brel.

I have to add that I'm rarely keen on songs with whole parts that remind me songs of another artist (I don't include covers, duh) so no wonder why I'm against this entry. That having said there were Eurovision songs that I considered plagiarisms of other ones* and this one doesn't belong to them yet.

*among those were Eurovision songs ripping off other Eurovision songs to my ear like San Marino 2018 (the chorus, parts of the instrumental) - Sweden 2015

People on here seem to disagree but the song is not bad and is a mostly English language ballad in a year filled with native language televote bait. It will stand out and be voteable for casuals. Israel's presence + her backstory will be what everyone talks about in May. That will mobilise the same supporters from last year easily. Just like last year, I think ignoring Israel until the week of the contest is stupid.

I wonder if the imagery/symbolism they will use for the staging will be as obvious/heavyhanded as in the music video. I don't really want to comment much more on her, her backstory or discuss the themes of the video, as I think it's way too sad and macabre.

''Is not bad'' is not gonna be enough to win or shouldn't be.
