Cesar Sampson is very happy with Israel and excited that Israel is the next host. The food is incredible, as well as security level and they love details.

He got shoved away by security in Lisbon when he wanted to give Netta a hug.

Salvador was my winner today, but Netta also was amazing (with an amazing entry to begin with). Congratulations to her!

Considering how much I dislike the Israeli song (not anywhere near as bad as their last winner though!), I was rather surprised to find myself rooting for it
But it was a lot more original than the Cypriot entry and better in just about every single way than the Austrian song

So congratulations :il: :D

For the first time throughout Israel's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.

According to the Israeli broadcasters, which was reported after all the votes, when Israel's turn came in the distribution of the score, the hosts of the event received a directive, not to say "good night Israel / Jerusalem" and now they accepted Israel in its face.

Thanks Europe!

The most satisfying moment of this victory for me was when Salvador had to give the trophy to Netta. He could not accept the fact that a song the kind of which he criticized and underestimated last year won it and he was so annoyed that he disrespectfully gave it and walked away immediately. I wonder how he would feel like if Jamala did the same to him. :)

A low point for Eurovision. This disposable political joke, chicken music winning really makes me want to boycott the contest. One of the worst winners EVER without any doubts!
And i'm writing this with the most kindness i can because if it were to say everything that comes to my head about this chaotic victory, i would probably be banned or something.

Glad to see that the hype for this song was enough for it to win. In my opinion, she did everything right with the performance. It's a wacky song, so a wacky performance was destined to be had. I'll also say that it's quite a memorable song without the performance, but it's a fun song with.

I'll say that this is a good winning song!

So Netta did win the semi final but according to Eurovisionworld, she didn't do it like we thought she would. She only actually ended up 4th equal in the televote along with Austria. Cyprus, Czech Republic and Estonia all beat Israel in the semi televote. However, she came first with the juries in the semi.

It's very odd how that ended up reversing in the final.

This year really was tough, it seems! It's just funny that in the end, it was still Israel who managed to win.
