I still dont like the song a lot. But with this staging and performance (also vocally), I am quite sure Ireland will be there on Saturday as well!

Probably the most overated song of the entire contest. Popular with a small section of gay men, that's about it. Anyone that judges on vocals, talent, song quality can see right through this. It's a mess, just like his fake tan.

What is with the Celtic motifs in the background, that's what I want to know. You can't just put in a bit of bodhrán at the start of the song and then claim it's trad fusion or whatever it is they're trying to do with the designs. Spain deserve those designs for their song more than this club song.

Considering how almost absolutely no one's talking about it as a contender for victory outside of this thread, I don't see how you can think it's overrated at all. No one's predicting it to win or even get into the Top 5 (outside of some people posting in here, but you have that in all of the country-specific threads).

As for vocal ability, I suggest you list to every single other live performance he's put on outside of the national final, where they allegedly lacked he necessary sound technician and mixer board to make people sound not-horrible. At the Eurovision in Concert concert where the artists had to make due with horribly cheap microphones that made them all sound bad, Ryan was one of the better-sounding artists.

Ah, the backdrop has been changed a little bit. :) Still celtic, but I think it's better now than before.

This will fail for sure for me. Song is weak, his singing is awful, whole choreography is meh... i just cant see him as qualifier

So... the Irish delegation reads this message board and other fan sites for feedback? Or something?

Ryan, have those dancers lose their pants!

I liked the 2nd rehearsal. His vocals were surprisingly good. And the song is catchy (it has always been, I just didn't like him as the singer of it). I think it will qualify.

I hope it qualifies, it's one of the better songs this year, it feels up-to-date unlike many others, and it's actually one of Ireland's best entries of the last decades...
