We've been together for a decade now
Still look pretty, I'm lovin' you more
If I could do it all again
I'd probably do it all the same as before
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had had your love
I didn't become myself before I met you
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had felt your love
Everything about you I like

It started out so fast
Now we can take it slower
But it takes some time
Takes a little timе to take a little time
As it agеs like wine

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow
The time we spent together
Hmm, simply feels good
We got a good thing going

And just when I thought that my heart was full
I found places that I never explored
You're so fascinating
And I can't remember the last time I was bored
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had had your love
I didn't become myself before I met you
I don't wanna know what would've happened if I never had felt your love
Everything about you I like

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow (Finds a new way to grow)
The time we spent together
Hmm, feels good

How does she keep getting better?
Every day our love finds a new way to grow
The time we spent together
Hmm, simply feels good
We got a good thing going

I really think that these guys are so likable, but that doesn't change the fact that I simply don't like their music ... I WISH I could like them ... 4 pts.

Me watching the new song...

I feel really bad for Daði. You can tell they really wanted to recreate the feeling of last year's entry but it misses the mark. Such a shame as it was top 3 material.

This is fine but I’ve listened to it several times and still can’t remember the melody. It doesn’t come close to having the same initial impact that “think about things” had. Although the style hasn’t changed, the level of energy and playfulness, which is what I loved about last year’s song, is not the same. Hopefully the staging in Rotterdam won’t feel as flat as the music video.

Overall, a disappointing return entry for me. :5: points.

Can we all still agree to vote this into the finals?

I'm very certain they're good enought to qualify either way but after that documentary I could not handle them not qualifying

This completely lost its appeal from the last year to now. It feels like they wanted to re-create the hype but in the end 10 Years is just a very weak copy of 80% of the elements from Think About Things. :3: points

It's a good song.
I gave a 6.
Im not going to compare the two songs. It doesn't help.
He is very credible and I find this song genuine and simple
Very pleasant and listenable.

Most people in May are not going to compare anything, as they have no idea there once was a "Think About Things". They are going to feel exactly like many of us felt last year. It's just us who are very whiney about these things, you know? The casual viewer "thinks about nothing" really, lol. They just cast their vote on whoever happens to catch their attention on the moment and then forget all about it 😁

Really surprised by number of comments about the clothing and styling being the same as last year ...

... well, YEAH!!

That's the point. That's their style. It's the exact same styling as last year, AND their first entry into the Eurovision world in 2017. Didn't see anyone complaining last year about the cheezy choregraphy, the clothing and being "just the same" as "Is This Love?" in 2017 :sneaky:

Also ... are we sure, this is the actual "music video"? It just seems like a made for TV studio recording. It wouldn't suprise me if there is an actual music video to come. Remember, this was a very small studio, so they were probably unable to do what they want to do. Especailly since half the band are tucked away at the back, in the dark. I would expect more of a show on a larger stage.

I’m not here to speculate about possible opinions of “average Eurovision viewers” in May. I give my own opinions, and think it’s absolutely fair to compare two songs by the same artist, especially when both songs are Eurovision entries. If people enjoy this song more in May because they’ve never heard think about things, good for them.

Exactly. It was on the music show Straumar that has been aired yesterday on icelandic TV.
The official music video should arrive in the coming weeks.

Tumblr, mostly.

It's just a live concert of their song. The performance in Rotterdam is going to look competely different, I'd wager.

To be fair though, the fact that they did this... instead of just publishing the a potentially viral MV may just backfire lol. I LOVE '10 years' as a song but it just isn't the same without the token Daði Dork Dance. As such, I'm kinda underwhelmed/blueballed because it's missing one of its key components and I wonder if many of the people who loved TAT last year feel the same.

The thing is though that this doesn't have the instant impact that last year's entry had.

I think it was a mistake to play it safe and try to recreate what was last year, instead they should've taken a risk and made up something completely new and yet unexpected. This whole entry just has an anxious aura to it

I just saw the live performance and I really enjoyed it. Like so many returning artists it feels like they evolved musically from 2020 and the song this year is so much more complex. That being said, it doesn't quite have the same instant infectiousness that TAT had. I tentative :12: points from me!
It's better, people just prefer simpler music I guess.

The only thing I'd change is to repeat that low voice bridge section (a classy improvement from last year) after the second verse and before the break. And keep the repeating of the chorus back for after the break, they vary things in the last part ok.

I think the song is fantastic, but the fact I´m a part of the choir made it go from a 3rd place to a 1st place. I can´t believe I´m a small part of Eurovision history and that he commented on my video to let me know I was in it.

If Flo Rida can represent San Marino, then it feels right for me to be a representative for Iceland xheat

It could be argued that "Think about Things" was just recreating "Is this Love?" from 2017. The choice of keeping the same "Dadi Freyr" style, has nothing to do with how successful (or not), it will be.

Once again, I have an opinion about Iceland that goes against the majority this year.

"10 years" is a major improvement for me, because I could not stand the melody of "Think About Things" at all and thought it lacked development. Like Latvia, while I agree this is less instant, I much prefer the fleshed-out and ever-evolving instrumentation here: from the strings of the intro to the gentle choir featured during the middle 8 (best choir of the year tbh), the change of pace during the second verse, the funky choruses, the 8-bit oldschool beat 'em up video game instrumental part... Even Dadi's vocals are more thought out, he plays with his voice a bit more here.

With that being said, I'm not entirely fond of the pre-choruses, which I find a bit too "shrill" compared to the rest. But apart from that, I think this is a pretty solid effort from Dadi, and it definitely sounds like a product that benefited from an entire year of reflection (unlike many returnees).

Even though "Is This Love?" will remain my staple melodically, "10 years" is advanced-Dadi mode activated. So I don't think he could have come up with much better and personal material than this.

I will start with :8: points because of the pre-choruses. I'm unsure whether it'll make my top 10, but this is solid imo.

This song does what so many this year cannot. It grabs you in from the start and doesn't let go until the final note, and it leaves you wanting more. An artist behind a good piece of music can create a miniature universe for the listener to experience during the duration of the song, and every Daði ESC attempt has done this, and "10 Years" is no exception. Easily the best this year.

San Marino is a close second for almost the exact same reasons
