Somebody just put a lot of money on Iceland probably. The odds are not really reliable at this point. Just look at the way it changed during rehearsals and after the Semis. Neither Austria nor Netherlands were a top contender.

Sweden was in 2012.
Norway was in 2009.
Russia was in 2008.
Also Germany & Azerbaijan were among the favorites in 2010 & 2011.

Hmm, it's been in 11th place for over a month now, and just got to 10th place last week. It was around 20th place in February:? So it's more than a few weeks. It was around the time when the video came out.

Here is an interview with Maria in Moscow. She is so nervous I know she is shy so this is definitely very difficult for her. She has said so herself, but even so, it's totally different when she is on stage, when playing a part.

The song is (I’m assuming) about a breakup. Maria is moving forward, letting go, “one step at a time”. And it’s good. She’s got an amazing voice, and really makes this song her own. I think this will qualify, it’s a very strong song, and judging by the NF presentation, this will be staged elegantly and beautifully in Vienna. A definite qualifer, and then mid-to-high teens.
