You can win Esc-2014,if you have something Nordic in your entry.
From the time Juries got involved, the situation is like this:
2009-Nordic country
2010-Nordic songwriter
2011-Nordic songwriter
2012-Nordic country
2013-Nordic country

Damn, looks like the Nordic countries have a monopoly on eurovision. I never knew that

I believe it's the time for :fr: France or :es: Spain to win again! ;)

Well, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to afford it. But I'd love to see :fr: winning :D That might increase the interest in the contest over there.

:be: because of holding their NF in het Sportpaleis or :nl: because they were able to send a massive national act for the 2nd year in a row :p

What about :uk: xcry. About time we got a win :D

I generally enjoy the Spanish songs :D I was even among some of the very few who enjoyed your :es: 2013 song x12s. But it's a shame Spain wouldn't really be able to afford to host it, I guess it would be quite embarrassing for a country say it wouldn't be able to host it. :/

has no one else seen the pattern?

1997/2010-Big 4 country wins with a song that charts throughout Europe
1998/2011-A country in the far southeast of the continent wins
1999/2012-We have three less-than-par hosts, and Sweden wins
2000/2013-In Sweden, Denmark wins
2011/2014-:ee: OBVIOUSLY

I don't care which country actually wins. The only conditions that should be relevant are: Good song, good voice, good performance.

I think that some months ago Ebu wanted The Netherlands for the next victory, also Netherlands want it.
BUT,
the contest must go down now to the South. This is a way to keep countries of South IN the contest (Bosnia,Serbia,Croatia,Slovenia,Portugal,Cyprus,Greece,Bulgaria etc).
So i suspect that now Ebu changed plans and probably will secretly support Italy.

I don't believe these conspiracy theories that EBU decides the winner. It is too diffucult to rig televoting + jury votes (especially with the new system where we can see each jury votes). May the best song win in 2014.

Yeah,of course it was obvious last year Ebu didn't support Denmark for the victory.
We even haven't learned the split results.

Rig televoting is already done in local elections, it's not really difficult, it's just presenting fabricated numbers

Also, bribe juries seem to be done every year, so I guess that's even easier to manipulate
