I liked our stage aswell, it was not better than the 2014 one but it had many elements that could do the song justice
Considering with the current situation with the EU, I think they will try to spend as little as what Netherlands spent in 1980. $725,000 (€652,330)
I don't think SVT needs Greece as an excuse for austerity at Eurovision, especially considering that Sweden isn't really affected by what's going on in Greece anyway.
I still hope that SVT will pay for a decent stage...
I personally think it's time to go back to a bigger venue .... at least for once. The ESC is more popular than ever and this also means more people want to attend at least one of the shows live ... It's frustrating when you try to get a ticket for the final but they are always sold out after 2 minutes or so (happened to me the last 3 years).
I think we did it relatively good back in 2011! The venue was great and had an amazing atmosphere but still the cost did not explode (like in 2009, 2012 or 2014)
but i remember that the semi finals in 2011 by far were not sold out. even in smaller venues like malmö and vienna the semi shows were not sold out. its easy to fill the final but difficult to fill the semis in huge venues unless you give away a lot of tickets.
Malmö's semis weren't sold out?!
No, as far as I remember no semi final was ever sold out in ESC history.
I hope the stage isn't anywhere near as bad as Oslo's. Maybe I'm in the minority but I absolutely despise that stage for some reason.
