Because it was the best song? Dodgy vocals can be worked on, a boring song not so much.
I can't understand how someone with healthy ears whose brain is working properly voted for something like out of tune Shaya and spend own money on crap called Sunshine

This song is a very generic ballad and she has a very thick accent, but i'd congratulate Greece for finally sending a ballad. I hope we send a ballad too in 2016.

I wonder if all greek contestants are forced by our broadcaster to include to their songs some greek flavour :?

Maybe I am too gay, but I prefer their song like αν δε σε ξἀναδω and alike. In fact, the little modern Greek I know I have probably learnt while listening to their and some other Greek pop singers' songs
In any case, Greece has made the best choice in this "poor" line-up, and I am saying "poor" only because I know Greeks have amazing singers and music producers... What the heck is with Despoina Vandi? Why doesn't she take part in ESC? Or Elli Kokinou? Where are those gurls? All Greek divas take part in ESC at some point, so why don't they?

The golden ages for Eurovision in Greece, were untill 2009.
After that, talentshow singers,or newcomers,or has been singers take part.

Despina was one of the rumored artists to take part in ESC 2006 but in the very last moment, she declined, and made room for Anna Vissi!
It is true, that big names have no interest in competing for ESC. So u won't see Despina or Elli competing. They think that they will put their career in jeopardy :?
And "An de se xanado" is a great song

And SE PERIMENO too... When these songs came out, I was visiting Thessaloniki for summer course of modern Greek language and culture. Yay, whenever I hear them (and some other songs from summer 2004, like Anna's TRENO or Despoina's OLA PEFTOUN KATW, memories start coming back

Rumor has it that Anna was the first choice but she refused! But when ERT approached Despina and she asked for some time to think about it, Anna immedietly said "yes"
