I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel

Sorry

I really don't care (ah, ah-ah) that you want to bash me (ah-ah, ah-ah)
Do it with flair and I'll let you be (I'll let you be common Eileen)
But don't you dare (don't you dare), mmm, to get angry (to get angry)
When you realize those words just don't hit me
What?

'Cause I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
You feel so very clever whenever you find anothеr way to wear me down
But I don't feel hate
I just feel sorry
So you can wigglе with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you
'Cause I don't feel hate

Sorry

I really don't mind (ah, ah-ah) to be your rival (ah-ah, ah-ah)
'Cause for your kind it's essential for survival (say what? He did not just say that)
Yes, I did (yes, I did), and I feel sorry (so sorry)
I don't feel hate, that's the whole point of this song (that's the song)
I guess you need patronization as some kind of validation
You won't cope with the frustration that your random me-fixation
Is another affirmation that you're just a hateful person
Who's not really better than me

Tap break, uh

I don't feel hate (don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (wear me down)
Meine Damen und Herren
But I don't feel hate (no, no, no)
Das war's mit "I Don't Feel Hate"
I just feel sorry (just feel sorry)
Ich hoffe, Sie haben noch ein derbe nices Leben, und bis bald
So you can wiggle with that middle finger, it'll never wiggle back to you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel hate (no, no, no, no)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
You feel so very clever whenever you find another way to wear me down (don't wear me down)
But I don't feel hate (I don't feel hate)
I just feel sorry (I just feel sorry)
So you can wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you (wiggle, wiggle, wiggle you)
'Cause I don't feel

Your ears are just spoiled by MelodifestivaLen conveyer belt bops and Sinfonix sound. Allow them to readjust.

Or maybe it is the Gemini in me that loves unpolished, crazy and shiny things

A positive aspect: I low-key enjoyed watching the music video. At least, it's something different and very, very, very distinctive entry and I'm pretty sure we will get some points due to Jendrik's charming personality.

I was just hoping to get a song which sounds more like Malta's "Tomorrow" and not the epitome of everything I hate about in music.

Not my ears.
I actually prefer the more original and distinctive entries such as Portugal 2019, Georgia 2019, Ukraine 2020+2021, Albania 2019... But usually they are not "fun entries" (I disliked Ukraine 2007) like this one or to me, they feel more polished and well-produced and well-arranged and less amateurish.

(of course, some well-produced pop songs are also in my Top 10 now and then) but my taste in music is far from being basic or generic (it's like a pure mix of everything) but I just can't get into "I don't feel hate" (I also hate how he slurs some words when he sings so fast. It's just a pure addition of many different aspects I heavily dislike in music gathered in one single song xD).

Anyway, I'm glad some people like it and it makes me quite hopeful for May. Maybe it will not be as embarrassing as Sisters xD

By the way, will this talking part near the end actually be in the performance as well?
I thought it was just something in the leak, like it was meant to be played on the radio and they just had a sentence of two added on top of the song.
But now this part is in the MV as well, so it is actually part of the song?????

The video was everything I imagined it to be. I envisioned gunge, things being thrown around, powder, a lot of inane grinning.. even the cardboard signs with lyrics on were obviously coming cause how else CanWeUnderstandWhatsBeingSaidWhenEverythingComingOutOfJendriksMouthIsLikeGermanConcordeOnAcid?

I think it's hands down the most obnoxious thing we'll have experienced at Eurovision. It's such an assault on the senses. It's clever though cause it's inviting the hate in for its own personal gain by being as irritating as humanly possible. Their answer to hate is the give us the most mockable three minutes possible, and I think it was clearly done on purpose. The trollery levels are through the goddamn roof and some people will be there for that. I'm laughing but I'm not laughing with it which is the problem here. It's made me feel something though so I welcome I Don't Feel Hate over say a song that has me feeling nothing whatsoever *cough* Spain. And speaking of Spain, I see comparisons to Do It For Your Lover. I think I Don't Feel Hate should end up a bit higher as for better or worse it's going all out as a proper joke entry. A modern day Leto Svet.

The one big selfish positive for me is that I Don't Feel Hate could help to cancel out all the other look at me I'm quirky and funny entries we'll be somewhat drowned with this year and are for some reason being touted as our frontrunners. Germany could very well pick up the kiddie/drunk vote. On paper it's a jury flop from the get go of course, so it's going to be relying on those at home, and they can react although they'll have to split their votes between Germany, Lithuania, Iceland, Russia + whatever else comes along.

I'll refrain from giving it points for now as I honestly don't know what I'd give this song. As a piece of music it's a 1 or 2 but then I admire a man with balls and Jendrik has about one hundred and eighty thousand balls in his sticky rainbow pit. I don't hate it surprisingly. It's given me too much entertainment here reading all the comments over the past few days, especially watching our dear poor @Mainshow's meltdown. I really hope he'll be ok. Sending love his way, not hate, inspired by Jendrik's beautifully positive message xheart

Tumblr, mostly.
So, a self-written, not overproduced at all, non plastic song about toxicity online deserves all the hate it gets. *mind blown *
To be honest, the more time passes, the more I think the annoyance is less about the song and more about Jendrik himself.

You know how every early 2000s reality show has a catty, egomaniacal gay who adopted 'sassy black woman' vernacular and made literal z-snaps to make up for a complete lack of personality? Jendrik is that trope in a modern day 2021 context, just replace AAVE and z-naps with a ukulele and instagay filters and you've got the same thing. (for those who don't watch rtv, I'd say Jendrik's closest ESC equivalent is Dustin the Singing Turkey, but I'd rather not remind anyone of the garbling monstruosity that was 'Irelande Douze Pointe' unless lives literally depend on it.)

"I don't feel hate" is definitely shaping up more as a pet hate for me than something I would want to napalm bomb into oblivion. I hated 'Love is forever' and 'Lie to me' way more by comparison. They were vile and stupid! This has an underlying intelligence that I well... don't respect, but it's clearly a deliberate style choice, not a social experiment gone disastrously wrong. It's more insiduous than the two I mentioned, but I also don't have an innate desire to stab Jendrik fans like I have whenever I see someone express love for Ickolas or Ewonora.

Also, I expected to hate it for its perceived tonedeaf political correctness, I instead ended up hating it because it reps everything I dislike about TikTok culture (irritating memes, attention whoring, unwarranted flippancy towards an audience you want to have empathize with you, and yet despite all this it just feels empty and meaningless). Thank you for that 'surprise' mr Sigwart, your reward is a single (:1:) point in the poll.

i thought the song would be annoying, I was scared of ukulele, I know Germany as the most ubermoral, stubbornly politically correct country in the world. But when I listened to it and my mouth angles went inadvertently up, I have to be honest with you all. I had basically the same reaction as @Matt,

so why are we supposed to hate a song when the body says yes. Just because it’s from frickin Germany with a frickin ukulele? I try to judge as true to myself as I possibly can. When I realized I was grinning and happy, the deal was sealed.

Okay I have listened to this song a lot today dissecting it trying to figure out whether I like it, hate it, or find it funny.

My conclusion is that it has 3 main elements all 3 Austrian:
5 in love - Rich White Man
Global Kryner - Y asi
Alf Poier - Wein der mensch zahlt

At first I thought I loved it as soon as it started because it had that Gianluca Bezzina vibe but that soon changes. It has the structure of Rich white man mixed with elements of Y asi then it has that crazy Alf Poier head banging crazy moment which comes out of nowhere.

Its a fun song and I like it it will be the tiktok song of 2021's ESC if they have the right 'wow moments'. It will do very very well or end last - it just depends on how people take to it on the night. This is the opposite to a safe song and taking a risk is what wins you eurovision (it can also can lead you to last place).

I say well done Germany! You're taking a risk and I love you for it. Violent thing was one of my favourites last year this is a far cry from that but this song is addictive and after the first time I heard it I could not get it out of my head.

The last point I would make is that I wish Sir Terry was still around. I would love to have heard his comments on this song haha. Probably something similat to what he said about Germany in 1998 and 2000 and they both received good results

Of course the music and the music video are loud, fancy and in your face! That’s the message of the song! Shout it out loud, laugh it in your haters faces... Hate is never ok! (Unless you‘re Hatari)

He is not that #metoo #BLM #freebritney kind of guy who thinks he‘s making an impact by liking hashtags like these. He is the one who is actively trying to change something by having the guts and presenting this to hundred thousands of viewers. Yes, HE HAS TO BE LOUD!
And I‘m very proud of Germany choosing his entry! Never had I thought they would be brave enough to handle this!

Come now, you make it sound as if that's a bad thing. :p
I have not a creative bone in my body, besides wordplay. I am a sucker for NEW, original music and LOATHE mainstream deeply. So I consider myself a connaisseur and being off with the majority comes naturally. I don’t get Keiino, it is shallow and tepid to me. Music balances me, without I would die. So I would say I have great taste, either way, I have a fling for crazy as well as enchanting. This morning I overdosed on Tix in my car, glassy eyed and moved.
