The disaster now on Eurovision.

Props to Lozano to keep his cool there

oh gosh!!!If the first video from Amsterdam that I watched was horrible, this one is U N B E L I E VA B L Y B A D !!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

Dearest Aletem, this performance of ESMA is certainly NOT due to her excitement for the event, as we were discussing! Awful by all means!

Yeah it was bad and laughable, but you know better now than later.
@ethn - They said it was an issue with an earplug malfunction + apparently she was sick. xshrug She sounded great on that interview, so I'm all positive for a positive surprise, come May! :)

Meanwhile, check the improved instrumental English/Romani version of the song. Sounds so much better and more modern now! :D Check it out, before the video goes private.

Amazed about the really poor performance. Probably acoustic wasn't the best, probably she felt not good... but at the end I still don't like this song... it is unarmonic!

I read somewhere that Imperija has been changed due to issues with Greece on both text and video (they where adding Alexander the Great statue into the video....). Is this correct. Unfortunately I cannot say anything about the text since I cannot understand it... :(

As we had been discussing in quite some extent weeks ago, this was NOT the case/ Imperija was changed due to the very negative comments it was receiving mainly within Fyrom after it was presented....However(although I wasnt big fan of Imperija iac) it was by all means stronger and more coherent than Pred da se razdeni

Aletem who follows very closely Fyrom's entry is optimistic about Esma's performance when time comes, so I guess he knows better.....;) Still, what we watched in Amsterdam was shocking.........:(

The song seems a lot hmmmm fuller now I suppose. Lozano's parts pack more of a punch although i'm unsure about the english... However why in gods name have they kept the bit at the end where Esma's voice suddenly cuts out (as if she's choking) and something else is pasted on top? It was the most dodgy, rush job sounding thing about the original version and it's still there! Could they not get her back in the studio or something?

All the signs are just pointing at this being an utter disaster at Eurovision.. and I can't believe the official channel uploaded that live performance. Talk about bad press geeeeeze. The new instrumental sounds like it's going to be even more confusing for Esma. I wish them nothing but success, however It's making me sad seeing the downfall from "Imperija" to this.

Please don't say they'll sing this English mess in ESC???? Such pathetic lyrics (like most translations)...

Ok if this is the ESC version it's out of my top. 10 for sure, sounds pathetic (and the music didn't improve, Esma's parts sounds even more out of place in this one wheres in the original version they sounded kinda cool).

Bad move... really hope this mess won't be the ESC version.

^ Tbh I think this version is just for fun, the original Pred da se razdeni will most probably remain as the ESC version.

He will sing in Macedonian, don't worry. Even though, I think in this case I would prefer singing in English (kinda like "Let me love you").
The instrumental is actually much better, as it flows better. Esma's parts now have gypsy accordion elements inserted in it and it sounds really cool! I think it sounds more exotic now, not just plain dance-dubstep. ;)

I've been listening to this all day now and finally I can say I really, really like it. I'm very much enjoying the new music and Lozano's parts are sung with a lot more gusto now. Does a Macedonian version of it exist?

I wouldn't be blabing crazy stuff, if I haven't heard Esma singing before. All of you can check her videos, more recent performances, and you can see that she can sing. :)

Yeah, Lozano's voice now provides a greater variety. There will be! :D

That great! I can't wait to hear the new Macedonian version:p

And yeah Esma is a fantastic live singer and usually more than capable. I've watched tonnes of her performances on youtube and she's incredible. Something must have been up with her at that concert. Perhaps the sound was bad? The timing issue was strange also. It's almost as if she didn't know the song well enough. I hope all is sorted out for May.

I'm all-in for a positive surprise in May! :D  And speaking about Amsterdam, Kaliopi had the best performance last year, while Esma the worst this year. It's a polarizing thing with the Macedonian representatives.
But we can expect another surprise, a positive one perhaps in May.
