Eurovision 2013 – Two more songs will be revealed tomorrow, those of France and FYR Macedonia. Amandine Bourgeois of France will premiere “L’enfer et Moi” tomorrow at 10:00 (CET) on Spotify here. The new unamed Macedonian song, to be sung by Esma & Vlatko replaces ‘Imperija‘. The new song will air on a tv show on Wednesday night and will be ‘gypsy-style’.

Remind me of 2009 Czech Republic...

No it won't be that Gypsy style at all, Czech Gypsies (Central Europe) are Christian Gypsies, their ethno and culture is totally different to Balkan Gypsies..

The gypsy song we got from Czech Republic in 2009 was more or less a joke entry... I wouldn't even call it genuine "gypsy"... it was more like some hip-hop/ska with some gypsy influences made in a joke-ish way. I highly doubt Vlatko & Esma are aiming for a joke entry...

What do you mean with "Christian gypsies"? As far as I know many of the Balkan gypsies are Christian aswell ...

Yes, but in Macedonia not, in Macedonia majority are Muslim Gypsies, and Esma Redzepova is one of them..

I see, and I'm not surprised considering Macedonia is almost partly Albanian...

But then perhaps the term "Macedonian gypsies" would be more fit for the description than the general "Balkan gypsies"

What will they do if the song gets worse feedback than Imperija? -.- (won't be surprised if people cry out for Imperija to get back)
