I really hope the rumours are NOT true.
Yes, it's true that Alive would mean France going contemporary and modern.
But I am afraid this song would struggle in Stockholm, although I admit it's not bad at all.
But there are two things that I find problematic with this possible entry:
1 - I dont find Sasha's voice particularly strong. And with a song like this the vocals really need to be powerful and strong. Can Sacha really deliver that?
2 - The song lacks a stronger and more memorable chorus or hook... I am afraid this is not the kind of song that will be remembered by the televoters after only one listening - and that is all one gets in the ESC.

It has so much potential to be my nr 1 of the year.
It is a difficult song so I hope her vocal skills will suffice.

well it's almost sure it is. France 2 was never able to hide something... when to want to tease they do it like a big black dot on a white floor.
Btw it's surely the best attempt France made in what.. 10 years, still it doesn't have the potential to win. it sounds like a hit of 2005 on NRJ (french people will understand this last sentence)

i don't think it's bad... i think it's great when you look at France, i think it's... "meh" when you look at the contest. It's already outdated but a really nice try.

My thought exactly. Considering what we've sent recently, we may be one step closer to modern music, but at the same time, everything in this song is incredibly average: the melody, the arrangements, the lyrics, the voice, the structure... I'll wait for a live performance, if she happens to be the "one", but I don't think I'll support my country this year either

I think Sasha seem VERY promising and I do like "Alive" a lot. But if it is the song to be chosen for Eurovision, she need to pronounce the english a little stronger, cause at some parts it is hard to hear what she sings in the chorus. But other than that, this could be a killer if she can turn it out live!

Has anything been said recently about Sasha representing France? Because it's one rumour that's really, really exciting me I'm loving the song more and more everytime I listen to it and I believe it could do some damage on the scoreboard in Stockholm
