It is getting low views and engagement everywhere...
Hum, I am starting to feel that this might fail. Voters are not that dumb, you know...

With Finns being one of the more engaged esc nations and this being a televote-bait. IDK. I'd be ecstatic if this fails to qualify because it would get the message across to not only Finland and their way of feeling that every edition of UMK needs to have a joke entry in it but also to other nations.

Ugh, I'm so conflicted with this one - I genuinely want to cheer for Finland and want them to win soon but this one.. I really can't help but dislike this and be disappointed that we'll be getting it in the final.

I kinda like it. Fun Eurodance joke entry, gives me Gunther Ooh you touch my tralala (Ding dong song) vibes. Wasn’t that Swedish? I mean, it would fit (and they did that intentionally, maybe?).
7 points for the effort. Would be 8 points if Win95 man didn’t run around almost naked below waist. To my taste this isn’t funny. It’s a bit disgusting actually, considering children watching.

I like this quite a lot. Yet another guilty pleasure of mine. The song is super catchy and it really has the "feel good" vibe to it. The concept itself is original as well.

That being said, I am really not a fan of this staging. They went way over the top and it could backfire easily.

For the song only - 8 points (for staging 0).

I kinda like the song, but there is extreme lack of humor here. Trying hard to replay (see what I did here?) the success of Käärijä, this feels like a sad copy, that would only survive in the movie or Will Ferrel. Humor is not found, and I feel like even straight teenage boys would find that cringey. Shame cause I feel like both artists are actually much better than this novelty.

2 points.

Beyond the horror staging which lowers the level of the ESC (a song and joke staging can be constructed better) and the not excellent vocalism of Henri Piispanen, only one question comes to mind "What is the meaning of show up in Windows95man's underwear?". Seeing all that crotch and that milky white ass... is creepy! I'm not a fan of ass but if you want to show it do it if it's nice! If you have the body of Spanish dancers ok but otherwise save our eyes from a river of muriatic acid... Sorry because the song isn't that bad. It's nothing special and certainly compared to Käärijää it's a step behind but ultimately it has its own fun and catchy side that can go viral for very young public. I don't know... it varies from Q to a big NQ. I still suffer for Cyan Kicks and Sara Siipola...

I don't understand why we started treating Cha Cha Cha like the first novelty act in the history of Eurovision Contest. The comparison of this year's novelty acts with Cha Cha Cha is so odd to me as if Windows95man needs to copy Käärijä and this is the only way. Remember when we've had Dancing Lasha Tumbai, Wolves of the Sea, the Social Network Song, Euro Neuro, Divine, Flying The Flag, No Projeduce, and many others that I can't name at this instant? Now we suddenly declare Cha Cha Cha to be the nemesis of them all?

I don't think ESC fans criticize anything other than "Cha Cha Cha" but the timing. Immediately after Käärijää there was an explosion of crazy songs and the same can be said after Chanel all the divas sing little and dance furiously. If Finland had sent a song like "No Rules" in a few years it would have been received more kindly. Above all, let's not forget that there was better in UMK. Ok don't you want to bet on Cyan Kicks because you've been betting a lot on Rock lately? Give Sara Siipola a chance. For me it was a guaranteed top 10.

I’ve seen no one say Cha Cha Cha is the first novelty song in Eurovision - it is the most recent and most successful one of recent times, hence why it is seen as the new benchmark.

Over the years we’ve seen many countries try and mimic what worked the previous year, 12 months later to varying degrees of success.

To me and I’ve said it numerous times this year is that Eurovision had seemingly been moving away from the novelty style acts for more credible music. Then Cha Cha Cha did really well and it feels like other countries trying to do that but without the charm, genuine quality and core of a good song which Kaarija had last year.

This Finnish entry in particular feels like a pale imitation on all those fronts.

I don't know why we should have expected this year to not have any novelty acts since we have them basically every year. It was going to happen whether it is Finland or another country, and it happened.

The crazy acts are fine, like the dance acts, but the 2024 edition saw an abuse of genres mixed in Pop sauce and not only that, of the choreographies considered successful in past years. These two queens of 2024 are accompanied by the Rock influences of "Zitti e Buoni", the political ones of "Stefania" and those of the commercial success of "Snap" which has cleared Folk a little. Not to forget the Eurodance/Techno genre which is flourishing thanks to the Austrian efforts of recent years and the success of Finland 2023. We are always moving within the same borders. Even our dear Nemo is not original... from the hat in the Rap part of the music video that recalls a member of the Kalush Orchestra, to the vocal warbling mixed with the Gregorian chorus that recalls "Who the Hell is Edgar?". I see a bit of a desire in the ESC competitors to follow a trend that works rather than bring their own music. I'm just saying that there are many unexplored musical genres. Then an unknown Bulgarian singer arrives who brings Acid Jazz to success and everyone will crazily start imitating him... A more probable example? Let's say that this year Angelina or Slimane will win. We would have an explosion next year of Ballad (dead this year) or Latin style songs. It's sad... Finland, given the success of "Cha Cha Cha", could change (especially because "No Rules" is terrible). I repeat, it's okay not to choose Cyan Kicks because recently there has been space for The Rasmus and Blind Channel but Sara Siipola was an excellent choice. The strength of a nation at the ESC lies not only in choosing an excellent song but in understanding in good time which turns the contest will take. The Italian jury in fact "massacred" Mahmood and "Tuta Gold" (a song capable of entering the Billabord charts) making him finish sixth and out of the Grand Final to avoid letting a catchy song win that would have clashed with many crazy sounds this year (and we're talking about Carioca Funk with Trap mixes and Arabic sounds - it was also original). This is my thought. Then, I respect your way of thinking and I don't want to force you to think like me.

Look, I find the staging a cringefest and not funny at all, but saying that someone should expose parts of their bodies only if they look "nice" is bodyshaming at its finest. Don't take this as an attack, just something you might think it's worth reconsidering.

I don't have a problem with exposing whatever body parts someone feels comfortable exposing BUT I do have a problem with exposing body parts as an act of "hehe it looks like I'm naked that's funny!1!!1" as a reason to

In fact I was harsh. Ask for forgiveness if anyone was offended by my words. But it is an objective fact that W95Man in flesh-colored underwear is not a pretty sight. It's also counterproductive because children will be watching the show and it's not fun. I am one of those who has always thought that irreverence is not an extreme act but a genius act with a profound meaning inside. If a man in his underwear expresses an act of rebellion towards, I don't know, the overwhelming appearance of the suit that hides our true essence, it's brilliant. For the rest, no. It's just wanting to make a fuss. However, when we are at the seaside and we see a handsome man in a bathing suit and an unfit one in the same bathing suit, where will the eye stay for the longest time? Isn't attraction itself a subtle form of bodyshaming? What I think is that there is no pre-established beauty but different ways of making it shine. Justice does not lie in killing differences but in education and acceptance.

I agree with some things you said, with some not so much, but I get the thought behind it. I'll leave to this.

That being said, I hope it stays in the semi, let's make room for :sl:

Thank you, but Finland has to qualify xbeach

It brings so much joy to people who can find a way to appreciate it in its entirety
