Out of 12, 3 became my favorites when I heard the demo versions, and they and 2 others are on my favorites box, so Finland got some nice songs, but nothing special.

1. Mikael Saari - We should be through: Wow! I didn't expect this from the snippet. An emotional and haunting ballad
Gotta love the orchestration. 
9/10 from me.
2. Diandra - Colliding into you: She kinda let me down. I expected more from her to be honest. Anyway, it's a great RnB ballad but nothing soo special
Totally listenable 
8/10 from me.
3. Great Wide North - Flags: This song stuck in my head whole day. But I guess It won't do well Great chorus though

4. Elina Orkenova - He's not my man: Nice, catchy -old-fashioned but still fresh- tune 7/10
5. Iina Salin – Last Night: Her voice doesn't fit her body at all.

6. Krista Siegfrids – Marry Me: Is it just me or she sounds like "f**k you" instead of "for you" in the chorus? 5,5/10
7. Atletico Kumpula – Paperilyhty: It sounded promising in the snippets but it turn out to be boring. :? 5/10
8. Last Panda – Saturday Night Forever: Too boybandish for me. It sounds catchy though. 4/10
9. Lucy Was Driving – Dancing All Around The Universe: OK-ish song, nothing more nothing less. 4/10

Mikael Saari's soundcloud. xboring The YLE performance likewise BMO. :/ A ballad needs passion! We'll see if he could give a matching performance when the thing goes live though.

Suddenly I realise the song can grow on me. Somehow it is yet to be finished though. 3:45 minutes needs to be shortened to 3 minutes and I think the 45 s piano interlude is beautiful but misplaced in an ESC context. He said they will bring a piano player and dancers on stage for the live performance which I think is a really bad idea. Focus should be on the guy - bring him a choreographer and work on an amazing vocal crescendo in the end.

Mikael Saari's song is pretty amazing. Needs a bit more punch in a few areas but that is the first song this ESC season that has blown my socks off.
