Firstly ESC isnt about one genre .The beauty of the competition over the years is the broad spread of entries,long may that continue.

The thing with fast paced pop songs is they are very hard to pull off.Few manage it.Krista does and delivers this to perfection within the limits of the song.

She gives 100% every time to her performances thats for sure.As for everyone saying Saari should of won i think that would be people who make beds as everyone would fall asleep the song was so boring,horrible.

Krista has a good chance of getting a following and i think shel qualify from the semi easily.

"No, thanks" for this year... I don't hate it... I don't know, I just feel they could make a better song with this music, it's probably concept, lyrics, performance that annoys me. Krista is a good singer though.
Sad to say: no points :(

Yes, this was among my faves!
I think "We Should Be Through" is a tad better but it wouldn't be successful in Eurovision. In my opinion, the first impression is what affects the result most and I think people would get bored during Mikael's song.

It's an ok song. I wasn't following UMK so I don't know what the rest was like, but I've heard it was awful. It's not what I'd expect from Finland though, so that's always good.

I think, it´s an average song, not bad, not good. It´s a song for the final. She has a good voice and the rhythm isn´t bad, but I think, there is something missing.

I must say i didn't think much of this song when I first heard it, but it totally grew on me. So don't be so hasty with your bashing.

At least we will send something, that we haven't done in the past years.

Finland has sent very good entries in the last few years, my favourite being 2012, 2010 and 2008. "Marry Me" is right up there: it's an instantly catchy pop song, and as hunty73 noted, Krista delivers it very well, which does a lot. IMO it's the most exciting song of ESC 2013 for the moment.

Not the best song in UMK if you look at it from a purely musical perspective (and the overall quality wasn't very good), but the people of Finland chose the song with the best chance of a top-10 result in ESC. Call it cheap, thrashy, shameful, etc... BUT, Mikael Saari's song was an 80 %-version of "Kuula" from last year. It would have struggled to get past the semis. Diandra was OK, but not memorable enough to do well. Would have been a hit in 1997.

The fact that people are reacting so strongly is a good sign for Krista.

Actually, I think "We Should Be Through" is better than "Kuula". Probably not a popular opinion, but there you go. I think Mikael would have done a lot better with the juries than Krista...but she will probably pick up more televotes. I don't rate her chances highly though. If she makes the final she can be happy with that.

Ermm, what have you done Finland? :? The most of the other songs were at least likeable, and you've chosen the WORST or the second-worst one? :? Pretty sad. :(

Want to give it a big fat zero as I'm really dissapointed, but I'll give it a 2 for now. :/

I think Finland has made a rather good decision this year.
Instant, simple pop. It has already been said: this is sort of a Kate Perryish song. And Krista sure knows how to deliever! Entries like this may fall badly in the ESC if the vocals are bad, but Krista will probably not disappoint.
I think it is quite good, and should definitely qualify.

Yeah, I meant to say that Marry Me is the style that Finland really hasn't done in ages. So it's good. i didn't want us to have a ballad performed by a solo artist standing alone in middle of the stage for third year in a row.

What is quite interesting is that Krista is the third fenno-swedish artist in a row to represent Finland in ESC.

Yes we have sent ballads dozens of times and not once have they performed well. I think Krista will pull off a great show that will stand out.
