I think Slovenia takes the cake for best rehearsal! I was just blown away by dress, Hanna's voice and the dance!!

Russia has the best rehearsal today IMHO. There's a harmony of song and performance.
Ukraine today is runner up. Why is Ukraine not first today even if her vocals is the best today? The answer is - GIANT! He is out of place in this performance
Third is Croatia. For me it's a dark horse of this semifinal. Good vocals, good clothes song is meh.
Fourth place for me today is the Netherlands. Good vocals, but her performance has nothing special to be memorable, it's too minimalistic in my opinion
The Fifth for me is Estonia. Birgit has great voice, minimalistic performance, and one of the most forgettable songs in ESC 2013.
The Sixth for me is Denmark. The worst vocal today, but the song and her charisma will help her reach the final, and maybe win the whole contest
Seventh place today - Slovenia. Tasteless performance, good vocal, so-so song. Only vocal will save her from the bottom-3 of semifinal

I don't know what that was with Denmark. But i don't want to judge it yet, since the camera appeared to be more far away than with the entries so far or is it just me? :D

So here is my ranking from the videos and everything I've read.

1. Netherlands - Great vocals, anthemic performance and good use of the projector.
2. Croatia - Faultless vocals, and a minimalist performance. This was borderline before, now It's an almost sure qualifier.
3. Denmark - Solid vocals, very little changed from DMGP. It was pretty much perfect before. Got the biggest reaction from the press.
4. Estonia - Everything presented tastefully, great vocals but the song is just dull.
5. Ukraine - Expectedly good vocals, but everything on stage was a mess. The giant was tragically bad.
6. Austria - Doesn't do enough on stage, vocals are OK.
7. Russia - Someone seems to have borrowed Cyprus 2011's white orbs. Cheesy, solid vocals but as with Ukraine it doesn't work on stage.
8. Slovenia - Utter crap. It's focusing heavily on the visuals to take away from the hopeless vocals. Needs a LOT of work.

I think the best performance today goes to the Netherlands, with Slovenia, Denmark, Austria, and Ukraine tailing behind.

I actually like the clothes on the Croatian guys.

Russia and Estonia were meh, especially Russia...

Croatia had the best vocal performance, telling from those snippets. Netherlands, Ukraine were also very nice performed. The rest was about at the same level.

Oh no, I can take anything Ukraine placed on stage in the past but that giant??? Although I will judge it fully when I see the whole product!!

Great job from Russia & the Netherlands.

I dont understand, how you can judge from these appearances 1m 30sek, of them, 25 seconds is very poor quality of the song......

The staging will look so much better with all the camera angles and cuts that happens, watching it from a single distant camera and all the staging looks pretty meh (although weak audio recordings does affect this too).

Russia was great for me although those backing vocalists need to be shifted!!! The Netherlands was professional too!
