xthink Wikipedia says that :ad:, :md:, and :mc: needed back-up-juries but I had heard it were only the latter two. In that case it would not be true anymore.

Oh, you meant the countries that used the back-up instead of televote. I thought you had found the actual back-up juries results for ESC 2005. It would be so interesting to see those!

The ESC final wasn't really Soraya's night, coming 24th place 1 point shy of last place. Creo que la noche no estuvo para ella

Beautiful song wasn't really beautiful

Vlatko Ilievski sang "Rusinka", while Russia was voting in the first semi final.
Eurovision 1998 was opened with "Neka mi ne svane" ("May the sun never rise"), while it was closed with "Ne zori zoro ("Somebody stop the dawn").
"My number one" ended number one in the final of 2005!
Ireland didn't get a single 12 pointer in 2008, despite the fact that the song was called "Irelande douze pointe"!!!

:hr:Vesna Pisarović in 2002:

Love is everything I want
Love is everything I need....

:hr:Vesna Pisarović in 2004 (she wrote the lyrics for :ba: "In the Disco")

Music is what I want
Music is what I need....

Even without it is obvious I think what they liked (Israel, Latvia, Denmark, Bosnia, ...) and what they would of trashed (Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro, Turkey ...) if they had been given the chance to.

Nikki French urged us not to play that song again, and alas, it wasn't played after the voting but the Olsen Brothers' was
