This thread is for any general Eurovision 2023 discussion not limited to or specifically about any country's national selections or song choices.
Look I live in the North of England but AJs accent would be really difficult for a lot of people to understand outside of the UK especially for those who have English as their second or even third languageA few thoughts about the presenters...
The presenter line-up is a bit bizarre.
I don't know much about the Ukrainian woman, but Hannah and Alesha aren't known for presenting?
It would also made more sense to have two Ukrainian and two UK hosts?
If Graham won't do the semis and will still commentate... Then why bother?
Rylan and AJ are RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!
I was SURE it would be Graham Norton and a female presenter and... That's it.
Anyhow, I'm sure it'll all be fabulous. It's just a bit surprising, especially from the BBC.
Graham Norton is overexposed, why aren't they nuturing new talent?
Yeah, if I watch on TVR, I'm basically stuck with the same guy talking over the hosts every year, so I don't hear shit anyway fklahfbwafRespectfully, apart from the fans or the English people, no one really cares about presenters because the commentators do all the talking for them. That being said, I don't like Graham generally, and other three I don't know nothing about so we'll see how they will do.
Nice try but this is the real scouse eurovision anthemThe theme song for the show in Liverpool has been chosen:
Nice try but this is the real scouse eurovision anthem
They had zero talent to begin with much like most of the 21st century uk eurovision acts, we get 0 everytime Eurovision is in a city beginning with RDid they hit one note right? Or was something wrong with the bass?
The host selection is rather underwhelming tbh. Why Graham Norton everywhere, for everything. Furthermore I'm not a big fan of this 4 hosts thing which became more and more popular during the past years. Keep it compact, show us fresh talents, not people like Petra Mede or Graham Norton all the time...
For everything? Last I checked UK last hosted in 1998, and as for 2023 Graham was nowhere near the allocation draw.
How often do countries host Eurovision? Graham might never get this chance again, and for a man as synonymous with Eurovision in the UK as Terry Wogan he ought to get this opportunity.
Rylan can present next time, whenever that is.
As for the 4 hosts thing, it's a unique split contest, I don't think we can really question any of the choices as they had to be agreed between 2 broadcasters which must be a planning issue in itself.
Yes, that was supposedly the point of choosing these hostsThis flashed quickly in my head, might there be a musical-like interval act being planned for the show, since we have three singers on the host list?
EDIT: Oops, I totally forgot Julia is a singer too.
