Re: ESTONIA 2013

Estonia please don't pick Winny Puhh over Grete Paia. :(

Surprised at Ring The Alarm, I was under the impression it was one of the favourites.

Re: ESTONIA 2013

Interval acts confirmed:
HU? - Põhjamaa
Ott Lepland, Tanel Padar & Jalmar Vabarna - Jõesäng
Bombillaz - Eestimaa mees original

WoW ! Great ! "Eestimaa mees original... This is an epic title !!!

Pliiiiiz, not Winny Puhh :( I expect, if they manage to qualify to the Superfinal, that the Estonian will be wise and vote or the others...
But well, we had it 2 years ago... Orelipoiss went so close to eliminate Getter Jaani... with a beautiful song, but which would have gone nowhere in the Eurovision...

So let's hope Estonian people will be wise and ring the "Siren" to remember how they defeated Lenna in 2010 and failed with funny Malcolm Lincoln...

Oh come on! Siren was a lot better than Lenna was that year and Winny Puhh is a lot better than most other artists in this final. And neither of them are supposed to be funny or something. Winny Puhh just is quite mainstream in Estonia and people like it for their music as well. Don't try to make it into some joke entry.

But this is how it will be perceived, not different of "Leto Svet"... Do you really think that people will take it seriously ? Punk music is mainstream in Estonia only... We even't don't know what is going on... People will just see disguised men shouting and crawling on the floor...

And Jesus, with years, it appears that for me Siren was the worst of the 10 songs of Eesti Laul... Not bad as itself but Robin couldn't sing is own song... He wasn't good live at the time. Bye was a far superior attempt... But it came nowhere because people went angry with him because of his failure... Rapunzel was a tune, like Astronaut, like Maagiline Päev.
New, Teiste seist kõigile, The One and Only - Love were great also. Ei usu was a great song but Piret wasn't good...
I don't think it's hazard if it even wasn't in the first selection...

Re: ESTONIA 2013

I genuinely have NO idea who will win tonight. Must be the most exciting final so far...

I just hope I won't be as disappointed as I was last year. So many good songs and the most boring of them all won xdown
This year I don't have a clear favourite, but anyone except Kõrsikud, Facelift Deer and Rolf Roosalu wouldn't be too bad

I agree with Knubelznarm... it's pretty hard to predict this year's outcome.

I'm not even sure who I root for myself.. Birgit or Grete I suppose.

About Siren - there were some better songs in the nf, but it still ended up being way better than ott or getter and managed to be one of the best songs in that esc.
About Winny Puhh. So what if punk is not mainstream in other countries? Should Estonians stop liking it as well for that reason? It is important to pick something what the people actually like and think is good music. (while I do see that it may seem to foreign people like leto svet, it has an important difference in estonia = winny puhh are famous for their music, kreisiraadio for their humor tv show) It is not that important what people from other countries think and even if it would be, the support of foreign people is even in this forum bigger for Winny Puhh than for most other songs in eesti laul.
And ESC needs some non bland mainstream songs and I am for example really proud that Estonia managed to vote for Kabat - Mala Dama which I guess you wouldn't like in ESC either.

Warm-up radio show from the rehearsal, for those few who understand Estonian: Raadio 2 otse | ERR

Bombillaz performed on the background and now a Finnish woman (Anna Laine) talks about UMK.

Update: HU? on the background.

Re: ESTONIA 2013

I don't really care who wins tonight, as long as it's not Rolf and Kõrsikud. And Facelift Deer. My personal favorites are Birgit, Winny Puhh and Põhja-Tallinn. But if I'd had to chose only one, that would be Winny Puhh. They are exactly what ESC needs.
