Don't take wiwi too seriously. These are just bored kids with bad taste. Their reviews are always so hard to watch and also irrelevant.

@Mlyn So can we confirm that hope never dies for Czech Republic?

First of all, my hope never dies that we won't embarass ourselves in our postcard and don't show off our film studios as biggest cultural heritage.

Secondly, hope never dies :D

I'm starting to have visions xheat

Václav and Marta are engulfed on a tiny rock in sea of fire (LED floor on ESC stage) and sing for their lives..... the rock is starting to crumble and it looks lke they are soon getting devoured by the fiery lava, but at the end a lifesaving rope comes down from the ceiling, Noid catches it and gets rescued with Marta in his other arm......

Maybe Czech's members of the forum have more accurate view to the situation there, but at least outside it seems that ČT is not doing any kind of effort to promote the contest inside Czech republic. Did Marta and Vaclav had some media attention at all? All I can find for the moment is that site of ČT with some info, but it seems that actually noone reads it as it is almost impossible to reach. There is no word about the contest in their official facebook page as well. Hopefully things will change, but seems that ČT are not enthusiastic at all and their return is temporary one. :(

What exactly is wrong with our film studios, which are - modesty aside - the biggest and best equipped in the whole Europe? I'm not exaggerated nationalist, I swear, but Czech film industry is in fact one of the few things I believe we can be quite proud of. ;)

I feel more embarrassed every time the Czech Republic is defined as "a country of beer". Another common cliché is to constantly show off all those medieval castles, churches etc. Czech film industry is something more linked to the present (and something closer to music industry), whereas the other things are more or less just remains of the times when we didn´t really exist as a standalone country. This video, trying to attract tourists, is a typical example (I like the ironic tone of it, but it´s still one stereotype after another):

Sadly, you´re right. Czech TV was extremely criticised by many Czech newspapers and webs for return to ESC, which is probably one of the reasons why they are so uncommunicative now. And for the other medias, there is more or less nothing interesting about ESC. I´ve only read two articles about Marta and Václav in past few weeks, both of them on some tabloid webs - one of them was dedicated to Václav´s tattoos, the other one informed its readers that Marta´s kid caught a cold or something like that. Seriously. After the release of the song there were some articles on several webs, but usually just in a form of a neutral mention that the song was released, with few obligatory words about its authors and interprets and video of it.

So, Czech fanweb escportal.cz seems to be the only source of additional informations. Currently there was published an article called "Should our song sound more rockish?". There is a poll - 83% of the respondents voted for some rockish version of the song, 17% is satisfied with it as it is, and 0% wants it to be "calmer and gentlier".

Hopefully they will tell their viewers when ESC will be broadcasted...at least.

It's a very good song. It may qualify. But somehow, I was expecting something better, with more punch, muscles, blood on hands, sweat... You know what I mean

This is outstanding xbow It blew me away on the first listening. So simple, emotional and yet so unique. Their vocals are completely different from one another, but they perfectly cooperate here.

It may easily stay my personal favorite of the year.

12 points.
