This song legitimately gets me yawning every time I hear it. It's like a perfect lullaby. I adore this nevertheless, very charming. Although if a song has guitar etc in it's focus, there's a 95% chance that I will love it, so no other option really. :D

I don't know why people think this will fail in Eurovision, I think it has a great shot of even be top 15 in Vienna! It makes me think of ballads on the charts of the recent years, like a calmer and intimate version of "All Of Me" and "Stay With Me" and also of course "Stronger Every Minute" that did came 5th in Istanbul 2004 (the same that has written this years entry). I think this is a quality ballad, with a good singer and that could easily get votes from women in pretty much all ages (women in the menopause will enjoy it most I think, wouldn't be surprised if this is one of my moms faves in this years contest when I show her the songs later). And I also believe that the juries will vote for it pretty much, possibly even put it top 5 if it not happens to be amazing songs that will be chosen the rest of the month. I say Go Cyprus! :D

This reminds me of their 2004 entry "Stronger Every Minute", but with none of the raw emotion and power. It's essentially a really dated sleeping pill. At this moment in time it has the potential to do ok at the contest. Acoustic pop numbers are just so... dull though. Better than Tom Dice at least, who annoyed me no end. "One Thing I Should Have Done" is very inoffensive.

it s the same composer that s why it reminds u of it

This guy is boring, not the song. For me it's not qualifying, he need to improve his performance/song. 3 points

Yeah, I think the singer is a big reason why I can't enjoy the song. I just can't connect with him at all. I LOVED Stronger Every Minute. It's my 2nd favorite Cypriot entry but this song makes me feel nothing. I do think it will qualify though.

I can't understand how you can compare Stronger Everey Minute with this one.

Not a bad song of course.
But also not something new.
6 points from me.
It WILL qualify for sure. ;)

You can't be sure of qualification this early into selections.

I really like the song. Simple, but it touches me somehow. Good luck, Cyprus!

Nice, but soooooo bland!

It could grow on me, but now I feel cheated! Why Cyprus? You have excellent songs like 'Stone In a River' and 'Without Your Love'.

Ahahaha worst song selected :) why Cyprus came back? for what? To have national selection with tons of good song and select the shit out of it :) how original...

Nothing is shit. You can say you don't like it, but "shit" is just mean.

THE GOOD

-This song is like Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" for a new generation, without being a total copycat. This is a song that'll be played on light rock radio stations (think The Blend or SiriusXM Love) for years to come.
-He has the best voice so far out of all the entrants.
-The instrumentals are consistent and match up really well with his vocals.

THE BAD

-I wish the song had a deeper meaning than just your typical (post-)breakup song for such great instrumentals, but this is very minor.
-Another thing that people might say about the song is that it's boring. While this isn't the case with me (because the song is on a different dynamic as opposed to boring/exciting), I could see somebody saying such.

THE VERDICT

-This song is my first potential contest winner, because it passes all of my benchmarks (vocals, instrumentals, lyrics, meaning, etc.). It'll defintiely get into the Final, and it could win the whole contest. 10 points

Well, Eric Clapton is obviusly another planet, but the sound goes in that direction (Cat Stevens etc) and it's not a bad thing at all. I think this is something unheard, it's the most intimate song I remember at ESC. It's also a "Love it or hate it" song, as we can assume from current messages and polls.

I'm still in mourning for Beat of My Heart :(

I expect this will get some kind of revamp and it might get some more power that it needs

A nice ballad that shows you don't have to make every single slow song so overly dramatic and campy: yeah, I like those, but it's good to have alternatives.

It might be a surprise: 8 points from me.
