I'd extremly happy when Despina qualifies. Most bookies and polls don't give her much chances, but you never know, some ballad will probably qualify, I think in classical ballads it's between her and Birgit and Despina has a pretty good draw, great voice, song and classy performance. There are chances and I believe she will make it.
If not... well - at least she can say she did eveything she could and there is nothing to be ashamed of, Cyprus can be proud of her anyway and Despina will have bonuses: new supporters around Europe and World too, plus great experiance from this event.
No matter how you look at it, she achieved victory, but that's what happens when you send something nice and good.

I think Birgit's song is better (lyrics better too) but I also think the Cypriot song deserves to qualify as well. I think the Dutch song is more comparable anyway being quiet, and I think the Cypriot song is better than that.

I'd love to see Cyprus qualify even though it's not among my favourites... if only to make you happy plus, it's a "real" song... with no gimmicks, catchy hook, stage show etc. so if it does get through, it'll be a big reward for Despina so GO

Nah, the song wasn't televote friendly... as I said before, no gimmicks, nothing which made it stand out and attract televotes, but still kudos for having an authentic, simple entry (even though it was never a personal favourite)

So sad for Cyprus. This was my Mums favourite of the night. I actually swung a vote Despina's way. It was a beautiful, emotional performance. This deserved the final although I always feared it wouldn't make it. I'm so sorry. This over Russia's song any day.

Like I said before the semi, many people expected this and it''s not a huge shocker, but still I hoped... just like I thought - this probably was between Estonia and Cyprus. At least Birgit made it because I was scared they will both fail and I'll be even more dissapointed.
