I think that the instrumentation on the english version, makes the song more distinctive,gives it character

The thing with AN ME THYMASAI is that it is a sweet ballad,not one though that can WOW you!I f you get the feeling of the song and the nice smooth sweet voice of Despina,then you will surely like the entry,but I think the main issue here is that it can be easily overlooked /This issue imo, can be overcome with the english version instrumentation, because I feel it attracts your attention.Then again, it's a matter of taste I guess.........

That's the point! Her singing is lovely, but not the "screeming ur lungs out" type, that juries and televoters seem to favor big time.

Agree with both of you. The song itself is pleasant, but it's quite insignificant overall, and forgettable. The thing is that, if it has a nice performance, it might grasp the attention of televoters. And the draw helps it a lot.

Despina is alone on the stage throughout the entire song wearing a black negligee looking dress giving it a see-through vibe. The Stage is mostly blue and at the end a wind machine is making Despina’s hair fly high.
MATT: The dress is rather distracting but other than that it was a solid performance. I’m glad they stayed away from any gimmicks.
KRISTIAN: It is a really nice ballad but I don’t think her voice was quite there yet.
