i have to say i was pleasantly surprised by the dress rehearsal. the clothes (both dancers and ivi) look great. i was a bit worried abt that after the NF. as for the background still looks horrible unless they want to show that she is trapped behind the castles gates and is waiting for her love!??! the books are still there and still no real use for them and as for the singing she is better than the first but still she can do much better, she was a bit off key at some parts. hope to see even more improvement before the semis. anyhoo she is great. go :cy: la la la la la la la la la la la la love xcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheerxcheer

Now, first we have to qualify (although everybody is sure about it, we have to remember this is Eurovision, and surprises always exist, every year)xcheer

In my worst dreams ! I don't wanna live 2007 with Comme ci Comme Ca.

This songs deserves a place in the TOP 5 and why not to be the winner song of this year Eurovision Song Contest!

Have we heard from her team about any special surprises they are saving?

They didn't reveal anything, but my guess is that it's something to do with the books, and also in the beginning, Ivi and the dancers are like pulling something with both hands, but they are holding nothing in the rehearsal, maybe they will hold something like a string? Who knows...

My predictions for Cyprus, I have a bad feeling :(

9th with the televoters but only 13 with juries and overall dropping even lower to 14th place not qualifying for the finals becoming the biggest non qualifier shocker of the night.

It's not my personal opinion, it would be a little higher than that.

I use different factors including voting patterns, overall history, genre, vocals, staging etc. I have a Croatia 2010 or Norway 2011 feel about this one and I'm not referring to the song style but the appeal. Ivi's vocal could get in her way and with no love from the juries as "La la love" just doesn't have a "jury favorite " feel to it so when I add up all my crazy numbers this is what I could come up with. I did really good in 2010 with my predictions but then you never know, Eurovision can be unpredictable.

That would definitely be the greatest shock this year, Cyprus not qualifying. Prepare yourself for a verbal war with the one and only Cypriotgirl tomorrow when she's awake....:p

Jury people don't leave in caves I supppose. And if they only appreciated opera then France last year would have won. So they vote as televoters vote but (as in statistics) every vote is much more appreciated and evaluated as they are only 10 people or so.

hello eurovisioners
i am really glad we have such a good performer this year. ivi was the best to go.
If cyprus dont pass to final this year we should withdraw from eurovision for ever. :p
anyway now about the performance is good but really dont like the book table dont know the reason they have it there. they should put the bad witch and make potions on the book table.

Oh dear...And for who will jury vote? Yeah sure, the juries will love Montenegro, Greece, San Marino, Austria, Ireland, Russia and Latvia (and maybe Romania too) so much that will leave Cyprus out of the final!

This would make sense in SF2, you could say that the juries will place it low because of the many ballads in that SF, but in this SF, I think we could even be in the top 5 of the juries. Last year everybody was saying about Eric Saade being very low in the juries, and he was 9th in the juries in the final, and 3rd overall! :?

The only thing i don't like is Ivi's make-up (too white) , and the belts on the dresses .

Now from the rehearsals I like more Ivi. Of course She deserves a very high placement in the final night. Good luck to Cyprus!

I couldn't agree more. If the final performance is as polished as it should be, plus has an extra element of surprise, Ivi will score high on juries as well. I see Iceland winning the juries total and Cyprus to score close enough for the second position. Think of Kalomoira - an average song and voice plus complicated props but still managed to get high points overall as her performance was excellent.

And a general response in regards to Cyprus getting Greece's diaspora points : This is NOT true and will never be. If this was true, then Cyprus would q u a l i f y e v e r y semi where Greek diaspora votes would help. But Cyprus has a bad qualification history with or without Greece. So it is NOT ALWAYS about diaspora, but about a well performed song. And actually the song itself counts less; the quality and position of the live performance always contribute more to the overall ranking of the song in ESC. And history proves it!

Excelent the last 2 posts from Cypriotgirl and orkaem . I agree juries will vote for Cyprus especially in the SF , the final is other conversation and NOONE can predict the jury votes ,but only televoting and this with high dose of risk . I just remember you the example of Loukas and Greece last year that won the SF against all the predictions , 3rd in the televoting in the final and 14th in the juries so NOONE can predict the final result of a country moreover if that country is Cyprus because of her history in ESC.

You can predict about Sweden etc that will be in the TOP 5 in the final but nothing more.

Can you really? She is scoring high alright but her rehearsals are disappointing to say the least - low top 10 I would say. On the other hand Ivi looks professional, young, fresh and super sexy! What's not to like about her!!!! (biased)
