On youtube there are so much fights country by country under this song's videos..
Specially Cyprus & Greece vs. Azerbaijan & Turkey.

I am sick of that. Don't be racistic. No one should care nation.
I never hate anyone because of his/her nation. Fighting for country is so stupid :?

Would be a shame if they have to withdraw since they have a really good chance of getting to the final this year.

How ridiculous that they only decide that funding is a problem now. Plus it is one of the best entries, hope they can make it to Baku somehow.

I didn't know that the situation in Cyprus is same worse than in Greece. Or they are just against to ESC.
I hope Cyprus will not withdraw, even though it's not my favourite song. Ivi has to be shown to all over the Europe and I even couldn't imagine how she could feel if they really decide to withdraw :(((((

Guys, we're talking about oikotimes. They're the ESC tabloid blowing things out of proportion. I wouldn't worry about anything.

No Matt! It's not rumours! I listen it today on Greek TV (Star Channel) in a morning broadcast! They say that this shocking new is real and the director of Cyprus entry, write it, in her owner facebook account! IF the parliament don't vote favor of funding for the Eurovision, there is a potential foreclosure.

Evi's Papamichael status:
"The CYBC is my second home for over 30 years. I'm tired of feeling hostage and political interests and other games! We ask you to give us the tools to do our job! How absurd is that? We accept any checks from any! If not approved such funds among other things I'm afraid we will cancel our participation in EUROVISION ..."

Updated news: http://www.escdaily.com/cyprus-ivi-adamous-love-story-expected-to-reach-baku/

Ivi made it clear on her official twitter that; All will be ok! “Nothing to fear when you are near” la la lovers!

From her official facebook:

Όποιες δυσκολίες κι αν προκύπτουν είμαι σίγουρη ότι όλοι μαζί θα τα καταφέρουμε και όλα θα πάνε καλά. Είμαι αισιόδοξη ότι όχι μόνο θα είμαστε στο Μπακού αλλά θα έχουμε και μια καλή πορεία.

Translation:
Whatever problems arise, I am sure that all together we will succeed and everything will go well. I am optimistic that we will not only in be Baku, but also have a good process.

Crisis to be resolved this week:

from http://www.oikotimes.com/eurovision/2012/04/03/crisis-to-be-resolved-this-week

The crisis emerged last night between CyBC and the Parliament is about to be resolved on Thursday. There is a big fight to get approval for the Eurovision 2012 delegation and Sony Music Greece is optimistic that in the end there will be a solution as CyBC already paid participation in Baku 2012 Eurovision Song Contest.
The country will face a heavy penalty if not participating in the contest which will be definitely an amount more than the Baku costs not to mention 2 years banning from the contest if EBU get angry. CyBC Eurovision commentator Melina Karageorgiou stated on Facebook that the budget cuts are huge for entire CyBC program and worries for Eurovision 2012 participation as well.
Last night Evi Papamichael (HoD for Cyprus) accused the political games and warned everyone that the country will pay a huge fine and the team for Baku will have to withdraw. The team of Ivi Adamou and the singer herself are very optimistic and call the fans not to worry as the crisis till be resolved by the end of the week, actually a new voting is set for Thursday.

I don't think they will take radical measures of withdrawal as this would cost them much, both in fine and in ban from taking part in the upcoming two contests

I am honestly neutral about this song since the Live performance will be BAD compared to the studio version. Anyway i hope that they don't leave only because I like Cyprus to be in ESC even if i don't like this song
