So sad for Croatia. The only song with genuine ethnic motives in the semi, and one of few performed in native language, and vocally good... Eurovision is NOT a celebration of European diversity... now only dated cheese ballads or middle-of-the road pop in English makes it :(
like hele said, "we are one" xbow

The boys did a good job but went totally overshadowed in the running order... This is sad... Croatia has to go to the finals next year !

Actually I wasn't a fan of this song at all, because it's not the style I prefer, but today I was really amazed by the performance. Very professional, very sensitive and the voices, especially the one of the bald head :D were very great and surely the best voices of all singers in SF1. The decision to act with this style of music and the decision to act in own language was really good, it worked very well and it was a kind of unique.

I think the entry of the finale would have been deserved, but I think it was just not mainstream enough. :(

My only real disappointment of the night. :( I can't believe they didn't qualify. They looked and sounded great. The entry was different from anything else in the semi. I thought for sure the neighbours would go for it. And where were the juries? Too busy voting for the screeching boys from Ireland/Belgium? Terrible indeed.

This is my biggest surprise of the evening (except for :be: and :ie: qualifying). I think the draw may have really hurt them.

Ireland and Belgium definitely deserved their places much more than the likes of Croatia.

Not Belgium...

But Russia, Belarus, Lithuania didn't deserve to get near final... and considering Croatia was one of the few entries this year that actually had anything to do with Eurovision as a concept, it's really sad it flopped :(

I would've LOVED to see :hr: qualify, just for the contest to have some more traditional music and to show that you can be successful with authentic, classic, non-kitschy stuff.

With Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Austria in their semifinal, I thought they'd qualify on televoting alone + the juries liked this... but it seems like Klapa isn't up to any average man's taste!

Well, apparently you can't. And then people complain that so few countries do anything interesting or in native language. Because you're going to flop. Ugh.

Just send something interesting for the European crowd for once, I mean the performance was nice but the song wasn't really appealing for anyone but the Balkans.

I liked the song before, but the performance tonight was boring. And these clothes really didn't fit. But of course, this one would've been through instead Belarus, Belgium or Lithuania.

A cappella and popclassic music are popular in D-A-CH at least, and this was basically a cross between them. We shall see (hopefully) the amount of votes it got.

I feel like we've got nothing to offer for now... since Nina failed last year more artists expressed how they wouldn't like to go to ESC.

Withdraw. Your entries are obviously too good for Eurovision. xshrug

No no, don't withdraw... it's an attitude of hurt princesses like TVP and TRT. Don't be like Poland. Netherlands this year has proven it's possible to make it to the final even after 9 years. I guess you need to send something epic to brake this bad serie...
