Total dark horse here! Also, now with Moldova gone, the only other dance-heavy entry in the contest is Israel, and that's not as choreographed, so there's no real competitors in the final, unless i forgot someone :geek:

Well, u forgot your own country:) Swedens performance may not be choreographed but it falls in same uptempo modern category. I think if not a Sweden's entry, Belgium would have huge chances to win it all as all other favorites are slow or static songs.

If we hadn't first half I really think we could have been a dark horse for the win.

I have to agree, second half then I can see it being a dark horse. First half, with Russia second half... It's just not happening. But we also need to factor the quality of the songs which go into the first half, if all the fillers go in the first half, then it can still do very well (which I expect it to do anyway, but just not quite as much). But if all the other big favourites like Sweden, Italy, Slovenia & Norway draw first then it will just blend in too much I think.

Thank you Belgium for this quality entry.
I am actually pretty sure you won this semi final, and you can still win the whole thing.

I have to admit Belgium impressed me this evening!

It was so fresh, modern, alternative, FANTASTIC! xlove xheart

I voted him a lot..

Choreography was brilliant, maybe camera work could be a bit better..and I think he made a small mistake with that difficult pirouette..

And he ahs the bigest amount of likes from the whole first semi, from all performances!

I hope he does extremely good in the final! :)

I am soooo hapy Loïc is in the Final! xyaaay As expected, it really was one of the few stand-outs of the night. But... he seemed to be really, really nervous and I am now slightly worried how he will deal with the pressure of Final.

One thing I didn´t like (and it´s not Loïc´s fault) was using of camera angles. For example, when he started to do his robotic footsteps, the camera was on his face. Also some of his synchronized moves with the dancers were somewhat "lost in translation" between what we know from previous performances and what was shown on TV. The worst were the shots through a silhouettes of audience members with flags.

Loic is a real contender, first half or second. He'll just have to put on a great show again on saturday and own the stage. Conchita did it last year, Loic can do it this year.

He looked terrified during the group entrance both last night and tonight, but both performances showed that he's one of those folk who can perform under stress.

The worst was then he was lying on the floor. No close up from above, serious? And also they could have showed the exact moment he lied down on the floor.

Please don't compare these two, it's really an insult to compare him with that horrible song and singer last year.. :( Pleaseeee I BEG YOU!! xcry

The rhythm inside is telling us
We can fly tomorrow
On the beautiful wind that blows
On a cosmic track, love attack
I‘m gonna get that rhythm back...

These lyrics are INCREDIBLE! xlove xheart

I totally fell for Belgium this evening..he's my fave for now..

I wont be surprised even if he ends as my fave after second semi as well.. :)
But Slovenia, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Israel, are really strong, I expect them to rule fr my taste.. :)

We will see..

I often pay attention to body language, it´s a good source of hidden informations. ;) And he really seemed to be almost spasmodically terrified. But thanks to the wisely chosen "robotic" choreography, it doesn´t really matter. :) And vocally, he was as perfect as usual, no doubt about that.

If this really did come in the top 3 in the semi, I can see ORF putting this as late as possible in the first half.
