Btw, I already get a "Malta 2012 vibe" from this one. Not from the song itself but from the reactions of the crowd. I remember everyone was saying that Malta 2012 was horrible, mediocre, etc etc, but then it qualified to the final, while songs people were praising here, they didn't even make it. I expect the same with this song (but only if it gets revamped).

Malta 2012 was in a much better state than this was at this stage. Most people didn't hate it, It just wasn't their favourite. People actively hate this. Like I said, I like the song but not the singer.

Oh, and just because a song makes the final, doesn't mean It isn't terrible.

Perfect. I'm hoping something akin to Latvia 2012. Going from the most awful thing I had ever heard to a guilty favourite.

The vocals are indeed pretty horrific but the song itself is tolerable so I'm not too fussed. I've read that he's sick at the moment anyway so we'll see in future

No a new version of the song apparently
and in a tv-show on Belgian television this night, it was reported that Roberto had throat ache...
if it's true or not, I don't know...

I mentioned this from the first moment, because I saw him having cough before starting to sing, and his voice was not coming out. It shouted from miles away that the guy had a sore throat. I've seen videos of him from The Voice, and he is a good live singer, that's a fact. It disturbs me to see people judging the song and his vocal abilities by that live performance only, when it's obvious from miles away the reason why he didn't sing it well. xshrug

^^

It was the first I heard about it but ok
I hope his throat is getting better soon.
What I maybe don't understand is that the RTBF didn't postpone the show...
Now most of the people say the song is bad, his english,...
Maybe with a good throat it was already better ...

I didn't want to be a lazy biatch so i surfed through the videos of his live performances at "The Voice"...sore throat or not, he still sucks :?

Kurt Calleja sounded horrible at the NF and did improve a LOT for the semi and the final this year, i hope that Roberto tries hard to improve, you never know.

So this guy won The Voice Belgium or what? Who did he sleep with to win?

I mean isn't the whole point with that nonsense show that the focus should be only on The Voice? Was the the only contestant or what?

Majority of people will hear him in Malmo for the first time. What if he has sore throat (or stuffed nose, or ingrown toe nail, idk) then? Should people judge him based on that performance in the contest, or go online and look for some videos and only then dial (or not) the phone number?

Everyone has his opinion about that, for me he is just a normal guy, not ugly, not really beautiful..
But that how things goes in Belgian talentshows (like Idol, the Voice, Belgium got talent)

I have erased my points and wait for the final version of the song to cast a vote

I agree.. I think people have actually been really harsh calling him ugly.
I think he has some cute features actually, not the best looking guy, but he's far from ugly too.

If he can't sing, that's a different thing.
