I've heard his song "Je Crois" before, I remember it didn't make any special impression to me, but it's an ok song nevertheless. He better select a stronger song than that one if he wants to qualify. Overall he seems to be an interesting choice, though.

The Belgians are quick this season.

It's interesting. They have a prime minister of Italian descent, another (famous) singer of Italian descent (Lara Fabian) and now their next ESC representative.

Well, let's hope their ESC entrance will be better than the caricature prime-minister they have (sorry Belgians)

Honestly, I kinda liked most Belgian entries of the past editions. But I don't like this singer, I've been listening to some of his performances and I seriously doubt Belgium will do well this year. Anyway, let's wait to hear the song he'll sing in Malmo :)

I quite like Elio Di Rupo. :p

At least he's not a complete moron like our previous PM. My god, he was so embarrassing. *facepalm*

Not surprised you like him

Anyways, this choice for ESC is rather meh imo, if they don't have a great song in store I doubt we'll see Belgium in the finals xshrug

I'm always optimistic. Except in 2008. I was seriously ashamed to be Belgian... Never felt so embarrassed before in my life!

And why are you not surprised if I may ask?

Really? I have to disagree, I found that entry cute and one of the few Belgian entries I enjoyed from the whole 00's tbh, definitely the best entry you sent in the past 5 editions for sure and miles above the first gibberish language entry you sent back in 2003.

Hmm, didn't you support him? (or maybe I confused you with someone else) :)

That ugly dress made her look like a messed up clown, though. :?

I'm not a huge fan of him. He's OK I guess, hasn't "effed" up the country yet. So we'll see what the future brings. :p

You should have been ashamed of 2009. That was just ridiculous.

I thought that entry was cute, not a masterpiece but not something bad either.

Hmm, I thought you were a 'leftie' or did I mix you up with some other Belgian in here?

I am a "leftie" yes, but I am a "rightie" as well in some aspects :p

Oh, that was a disastrous song, if I make an all time bottom 30 it will be there for sure! xrofl3

2009 was quite embarrasing as well!

I think Roberto will have a cute song in the end. Btw, does he sing in English too? Because I'd like to hear a song in French instead, and just checking if he sings in English too, while he was in the talent show, to see how many possibilities are there to select an English song instead (pls not!)

I really hope they will go for a song in French, 'Je Crois' is ok, nothing special but it's decent... something like that in English would be a non-event though.

^^

something I expected Mickey
I also find it rubbish but (maybe) one advantage: people will vote for the song, not for a show (because they only hear it)
But this is another example of how Eurovision is threated here
