The song is a sure qualifier in my eyes and it's not because of the ex ussr block. It easily stands out in this weak semi as one of the few good modern songs.

Goodness me! In a semi with Belgium, Finland, Greece, Moldova (and yes, my list could go on), this shines out like a beacon of hope that the semi is worth watching!

I guess it's all a matter of taste.
This year is very disappointing to me. I made a mistake putting the unknown to me list of all qualifiers (like I do every year) as my playlist while I was driving to work on Monday few weeks ago. That snoozefest was an accident waiting to happen. I was even thankful for Finland "wake up call"

usually I have trouble "stuffing" songs I like, and have to cheat and use non-"round" numbers to represent my fav songs as the top. (top 10? but there's this, and that... ok top 12... no 13... but where there's 13, there can be 15... but I can't take out this on. is top 16 ok or does it look weird? top 20 is like half, not special enough of a list... someone has to go.. but who?)

This year top 10 was a struggle. I had to dig into my "meh" pile to finish off my signature.
Top 4 are well ahead in my rankings. Then it's 5,6, and 7. The rest were decided based on "ok who doesn't annoy me too much" criteria. (Italy is ruined by the fact that I've heard MUCH better and stronger voices do this type of music)

All IMO of course.
