I was watching with friends, and they said they were really impressed with Azerbaijan for portraying a gay relationship (until the girl came on, then they were confused as to what was happening XD ). I don't really know what the intentions were behind this performance, although I'd say it's a pretty strong entry and deserved to qualify.I wonder if the azeri team understand that the stage show is actually homo-erotic? I highly doubt it was the actual intention with the show, but it truly comes across that way for the viewer
The Finnish girl can desperately gimmicky kiss girls on stage, but this was far more risky than that one...
The song is alright, but I'm still left cold by it...

You could tell them that he is devastated by his new feelings to the boy and his gilf and he doesn't know whom to choose and what to do. To follow the traditional way or listen to his heart
(I need to write scripts)
But seriosly. isn't it obvious that that guy is the reflection of his dark side?
As I wrote on the previous page, I highly doubt the intention had any gay motives behind them, but it sure comes across that way
I guess they had SOME intentions, otherwise we woulnln't get so many shirtless photos with him. But I don't believe that their intentions were so deep
Well, the shirtless pics perhaps, but the performance? I would be highly surprised if the Azeri broadcaster and delegation were like "Hmm, let's portray the performance of a guy who is split in his bi-sexuality"
That would be a shock
During the rehearsals they explained what they meant with the staging. It was some long, difficult story about inner selves and love and whatnot, nothing gay in it. I really didn't give a damn about it, but it does work beautifully and it did convey a poor song a life of its own.
I wonder who has been the clever mind behind it?

It's an average song that is hidden behind a breathtaking performance.
