Stop the German "hate", pl.
ESCKompakt is a page in which many bitter fans complain about everything in the comment section.
It´s better to not visit that part of the page.
It doesn´t susprise me that a well-produced and massive pop song fails to impress parts of the German hardcore fanbase, though.

I have personally spread so much love and peace in Germany and my life, I deserve a Noble Peace Prize. But I guess many older Eurofans as the common gay guy in Middle Ages are just bitter about everything. Older gays with issues are those who want to put me in my place. Esc kompakt gives me this bitter old gay vibe.

The former ECGermany Forum had a few members who deliberately said stupid/mean things towards entries/participants as well - I wouldn´t take comments on ESCKompakt that seriously.
That said, the bloggers of that paged placed "Halo" #7 and "Sekret" #11 on their Top 40 ranking last year.
I just checked the comment section of that "Ranking" - ESCKompakt is hell, seriously.

well, we have some members here who cancel you for having a different opinion. But esc kompakt is obviously the most negative place to comment.
FabiEsc doesn’t like Taboo, gets a personal wall of text in return.

I really don´t know why some fans are so entitled to be so harsh on other fans´ opinions.
That´s the reason why I stopped being a member of two FB groups (they are the worst, mocking almost all entries, even insulting the artists) - This forum, however, is moderate.
It´s totally alright to have a different opinion and it´s alright to "defend" your favourite entry by writing an essay (in my opinion) but just be respectful.
Personally, I think that "Who The Hell Is Edgar" turned out to be the biggest surprise of the year - I expected a horribly trashy and amateurish attempt to get the televoting on board (based on the first snippet)
But it´s actually really funny, well-produced and interesting.. Even clever.. I love the reference to how "much" artists really earn thanks to Spotify/Streaming - a few lines are really hilarious as well and the music video is so entertaining.
I loved "Amen" (the studio version) but overall, I think that "Who The Hell Is Edgar" really has a shot at qualifying easily.
