Are the juries informed about the televote results?

Although, I must say I don't like your proposal. I think it's complex and it's also built upon stereotypes and cause division and instead of bringing us together.

Well, by that logic you can say that Big 5 automatically qualifying creates inequality and division.

Such a system would eliminate neighbor voting and allow songs that are popular accross Europe to win, not regionally popular songs.

We all know why the top. 5 system remains though, and there is a somewhat logic in that.

I get the logic, but I think 1 country - 1 vote , without complicating things , needs to remain. I agree it's not perfect and there will always be flaws, but I don't see a better way.

I also see a shift where televoters have been more open-minded and juries are more biased, so I think a big problem lays with the juries who seem to misunderstand their task in this contest.

I don't say they were always incorrect, but their job is not to block certain countries or "televote magnets" even, their block is to simply vote for the best entries and so what if it would happen to be a Ukrainian televote magnet some year (like this year for instance)? Should like the coolest entry of the year be downvoted because of that? Doesn't make sense really xshrug

But yeah, I agree about Russia 2018 and Poland 2016, those are I guess good examples of when juries made sense, but I have a problem if they're blindly going after certain countries though (regardless if they send good or bad stuff), then they really aren't better than those nationalistic diaspora that blindly vote for a country as well.
I agree with Ukraine this year, they could have placed them higher for sure, but I don't think they are really giving points to certain countries for no reason, they are just helping them when they send good stuff. Montaigne this year wasn't among their qualifiers, but they skyrocketed Dami Im to top 3 in the finals, I don't remember the televoting results of that year, but even with a huge jury lead, she still didn't manage to win, so she probably didn't do that well with the televoters, and that song not being in top 3 would be a crime. Also, in televote Destiny was like 15th, so they perfectly balanced her result by putting her 3rd, even though they probably wouldn't do that for another country, but knowing Malta's televote results in past years, should we blame them? The song is definitely a top 10 potential.

For sure the semi votes are kept secret from the juries, but also sure they can guess what people will go for and automatically vote against it.

More relevant is how they every year seem to adjust to the previous year televoting. Even 'European' , non-Billboard songs are getting points by the juries now. Notice how native language songs got top scores. Not too long ago Måneskin or the French chanson would have been shunned by most juries.
