I thought it was a really wonderful opening night with some gorgeous as well as intriguing songs. I felt this semi was sorely missing upbeat pop but hopefully we'll get some tomorrow.

Eldis Arrnjeti seems like the clear front runner from this bunch in terms of actually being able to win Festivali i kenges (the audience reaction said it all), but if we have a public vote again for Eurovision someone like Luan could be just as strong.

S'mund t'fitoj pa ty was the performance that impressed me the most. The feeling that one gave was special. Shpat Deda's rich voice and that haunting vibrato gave me shivers. It really was exquisite.

Usually, I think that FiK has a couple of great songs but tonight it was all about Luan and I low-key liked Eldis, too...but hopefully, tomorrow's semi will give us more competitive entries.
I just listened the song three times it's a journey.
It gave and still gives me wiiner vibes.
Would love to have a song like this from Albania. But who knows. Tomorrow maybe other good surprises.

Can't see Besa winning with that. At least it wasn't as boring as the leaked snippet I heard in the morning.

Festina Mejzini was without a doubt my favorite of the night followed by Luan Durmishi who kind of came out of nowhere. Segio Hajdini and Olimpia Smajlaj were also enjoyable. Olimpia surprised me with that type of FiK rock ballad but she did well.

Melodajn didn't sing the best tonight but she has a good hook. Newcomer Jehona Ponari had an interesting song from the sound of it too and look but it was ruined by weak vocals and no charisma. Kastro Zizo had kind of a disappointing song this time aoround compared to his previous efforts.

Overall an enjoyable night 1 of FiK 62.

At least Zemrën n'dorë is more interesting and dynamic in full compared to that snippet that leaked yesterday. Adding rap in was a good idea. Besa Kokëdhima won't win but it may still come in the top 3. Not as bad as some people on here were making it out. Probably my fourth/fifth place of Night 1. The chorus is very basic though and the weakest part.

That outfit with the outline of metallic nipples though.

Tumblr, mostly.
i just caught up with fik. Not the most exciting night, but nothing stood out as bad (well i like. flexboy did. but he was funny about it, so xheart)

luan is definitely the act i'd prefer to win out of these (a poor man's konstrakta is still a konstrakta), but i'd take besa's breastplate ballad or andi's rockified sea shanty too in a pinch. but i'm mostly hoping semi 2 has a more exciting banger on offer.

I prefer Luan to :rs: In corpore sano

Other songs I listened so far:

- Një kujtim by Eldis Arrnjeti: I expected more, but maybe I was that hyped up because I adored Refuzoj (or I must say FiK60, since I'm still listening today to 5-6 songs of that year) and so I was a little underwhelmed by this new song, which I find more bland if compared to his previous attempt. He is a great singer though.

- Asaj by Olimpia Smajlaj: another returnee from FiK60 and here I was positively surprised because I remember her tragic performance of "Dua" when she seemed a fish out of the water. Now I understand why: apparently her voice fits more the ballady parts. Unfortunately the song isn't memorable enough to be competitive, but the performance was good.

- Besa Kokhëdima's Zëmren n'dorë: do I like it? Honestly, yes, I do. Do I think this could be even better? Yes, because I agree with the ones saying this song don't need an orchestra, which feels redundant. Do I think this song will win? No, even if Besa is quite popular and that's based on the fact some people might be underwhelmed by this entry when she had way better songs.

- Festina Mejzini's Melos: she is a really great performer, I must say. But even if the song has a great orchestrated climax, it somehow fails to keep me hooked for its entirety. Maybe this will grow on me, but right now I'm not completely sold.

Can we give the pass for ESC to Luan and the victory to Elsa Lila. I know her song will be good but I also know her style, nothing to be surprised of. She will hit all the notes ect ect but I'm sure she will not hit those rough and primordial emotions Luan does.
I would love to hear the audience singing Repetitia est mater studiorum
