But again, this is where the covers rule has always been so contentious, since music at its very heart is subjective, and open to interpretation by each individual listener in different ways. It's never just a clear cut thing unless there is a clear intent and proof from the writers/producers/artists that they set out to create a cover version.
Sorry, I don't really understand what you want to point out or where (if) there's a contradiction. And in this case we do have proof of intent, as provided by
@Lenalite in the ongoing poll thread, ergo I'm saying that the rule that we have can allow it, while the rule we reverted two years ago would not have been
more in favor of this entry, only the same. Especially when that rule called for "significant structural differences", but the differences you pointed out are, as you said, "very small changes".

not arguing against allowing Xhuxhmaxhuxh's entry, on the contrary, I'm pointing out how it
can be allowed within the confines of the rules.
