THE CRANBERRIES
The Cranberries are an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1989. The band consists of vocalist Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler. Although widely associated with alternative rock, the band's sound also incorporates indie pop, post-punk, Irish folk and pop rock elements

It can be quite chore to listen to the songs in diverse NFs. And I wanted to give several juries 'the pleasure of receiving my vote' for WV02. But I think I'll have to skip a few that I planned to do.. So it's a problem of time.

I meant the Irish NF, as "masterpieces". Of course I also won't vote in every NF, but I will in those, which I like the songs, Irish NF is one of them.

Blackmore's Night are not from. The two core members, Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night are from England and America, respectively. They live in New York state, as far as I know. The other musicians in the ever-changing background line-up are all from the States. :?
Obviously I would vote for them in a heartbeat, being a longtime fan of theirs, but according to the rules they can't compete for Ireland. So anyone who has included them in their votes, might want to revise them. Such a shame. Someone finally includes one of my all-time favorite bands (and one of my all-time favorite songs of theirs) and I can't vote for them.

I don't think either of the British juries or the US jury will ever send them, unfortunately. Don't think it's their kind of music.
Ah, I see! That's strange though. Maybe people think their music sounds Irish/Celtic or something? Which doesn't make sense either, since their music is more renaissance-inspired folk/rock.
