I actually quite liked our concept this year.
I mean, it surely isn't the best way to pick a singer, but I liked the fact that something was going on for 3 or 4 months. And the end result wasn't bad at all, Eva is a great singer! The only problem is that she's quite unexperienced..
Songs on EMA 2012 were good too (well, especially Eva's ones) and I just love our entry!
But of course, I won't mind if we pick someone well-known and experienced next year.

I agree, she would be excellent for Eurovision.
Although I love her downtempo songs and ballads, I think that she would do really well with more uptempo song like "Dež", "Tik tak tok" and "Ni ona".
But I don't know if she will be interested to do it in 2013, because she's probably one of the most popular performers atm.

Alenka Godec is a great singer, but I think that we need something fresher and modern.
And about the X factor winner, I really doubt that she/he will participate on EMA 2013, because (like you know) X factor is on a commercial TV and EMA is on a national TV. These 2 TV's (at least in Slovenia) never collaborate. There's another reason too: the winner will sign a contract to record a CD and he/she will probably be very busy in time of EMA 2013. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure that we will see some other X factor contestants on EMA 2013. But no, definitely not the winner (at least not in 2013).

Oh, OK. I forgot about noncollaborating TVs. You're right. Plus I didn't know the winner will sign a contract to record a CD. So yes, other X factor contestands may appear on EMA 2013 and I think they have huge chances to win.

But I found it on some other website (the quote isbelow). I also realised that signing a contract is almost always a prize on X Factor.

Yup, I know.
But the main thing is that she didn't win Slovenia's got Talent, she was a runner-up. That's why she didn't sign any recording contract with POP TV.

^I'd love to see Rebeka again! Her song is my all time favourite slovenian entry (though the original version). But I wasn't so surprised when she didn't make it. The staging was horrible! What were they thinking?

From 2008-2012:
2008: i think it was an amazing song! Rebeka didn't go to the final and ends with a 11th Place, she had make it, if Poland not get so many points from Jury.
2009: No song in it, or sometimes. Ends with a 16th place.. Horrible.
2010: I thought it was so sad for Slovenia, because the song was.. terrible.. Sorry.
2011: YES SLOVENIA MAKE THE FINAL! Last time in final was in 2007. In 2007 Slovenia ends with 15th place and now a 13th place in 2011. Amazing song! Love Maja♥
2012: Slovenia is doing well in Eurovision, its so good! GO SLOVENIA!

I really doubt that we will withdraw, even though we didn't qualify to the final. Everybody's talking about Eurovision this year. The comments are of course positive and negative, but at least there's some kind of a feedback! And actually, they're mostly positive.
But I DO think that the concept of our selection will be changed. I think that we'll go back to EMA concept (without Misija evrovizija), but you never know. I'm OK with both types of selection.
Maybe we will even turn to internal selection of a singer.. I don't know.
