I am back here once again and I'll start with my absolute favourite this year., which is France.

Louane delivers pure emotion. Her vocals are strong and effortless on that platform, and there’s something about her face and charisma that truly transcends the screen.

I’m sure Europe will fall in love with her. Beautiful, emotional, authentic — definitely a contender.

Well, putting the 3rd favourite so early, and especially after another ballad in the running order, is not the best thing for France.

It's not like France is competing in the semis, is it? They put it there to destroy Georgia's chances and raise Denmark's.

Well, it's not that early as there are like 15/16 songs competing in the semi. France will definitely stand out

Why is it a bad thing for France? They're in the final?

If anything, you could argue it is a good thing, as they could be more likely to get a later position in the final (I don't necessarily think that)

She spent more than one hour on Instagram live with Sissal, JJ, and Kyle, so you can imagine how it was. Sissal gave 101% about everything and nothing, and Louane was super into the chat with them. They were super friendly!
I am really happy about this participants group. They look so nice and friendly.

I am really happy about this participants group. They look so nice and friendly.

I think her and Sissal especially will develop a great friendship. They have a similar age and really compatible personalities. So if there was not Eurovision, i would still really imagine them going together having fun on a bar or something like this. Louane is one year younger than Sissal so they're almost from the same generation. But yeah Louane is trying to enjoy the experience at his best, interacting with other participants an maybe will develop friendship with several of them. She's a cool young woman, far from the image of a sad and depressed girl only singing sad songs. She's actually the oppposite and really funny !

I continue to maintain that this is the year of France. The competition is not ruthless. It is not a weak year but an uncertain year where everyone is more or less equal and a ballad could make the difference. Friendly and safe votes will come from Switzerland (partially French-speaking), Belgium and Luxembourg. The French ballad is very basic, for me lacking in melody that leaves more room for theatricality, and the third attempt in a short time in a few years but it has its public and is what many expect from France. A bad winner? Sure. After the contest will it be forgotten like the winner of 1965? Just as sure. For France however it will be a more important victory on the side of requalifying the ESC spirit at home. Maybe more quoted artists will choose to participate in the next contests raising the possibilities of French music in the continental contest. But the ESC is as fascinating as it is cruel. There are unknowns. Sweden with its sauna, Italy with its glam alien from Omicron Perseus 8 and Tommy Cash supported by the Starbucks chain. The only ones, in my opinion, who could ruin the party for France. I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the surprise winner... after Damiano's drug I just hope that the new winner from the day after isn't accused of human smuggling

Easily the best vocally yesterday!

I just wish Maman was a bit stronger. I guess France still regrets they chose Bilan over Seemone with Tous le deux (Papa) back then. That was having winning potential and it would've also won this year. It might sting too much to them that since then they also sung about the mother and even WON the Junior Version with it so Louanes attempt feels a bit like a reversal of what was done wrong in 2019.

I agree this needs a late slot, although I believe this will do well (but less) with an earlier run because it has high potential to be appreciated by the jury. In the past, both French chansons that did great had running orders of 20+, and this should also have.

I think France will never have a chance to win if they continue sending typical french chansons like this one. I hope they will send something cool soon because I really want to see France win at leat once in my lifetime

After the best result they got with Voila they tried something new and bring amazing Fulenn which unfortunately flopped so they were back to what they are good in - french chanson and immediately back on left side next year with La Zarra and top3 with Slimane. Winning is coming this year (hopefully)

Fulenn was not amazing, only fandom thought it was amazing. I remember watching some prediction vids on youtube and Fulenn being talked abt and i was like are you serious? I really really tried to like it back then, cause it should be right up my alley, but i just couldn't enjoy it at all and staging only made it worse.
I also don't like French ballads at all, but it's just personal taste, i wouldn't mind them winning, they clearly want it badly.
(The only French entry i remember actually liking is Requiem)
